Can a man, buy some land, withdraw, live a simple life and be left alone? If he lives under any sort of government, then the answer is no for they will always require an involuntary tithe in recognition of all that they do for him. What of the man who wishes not to be governed? Must he then be broken for refusal to tithe?
The government keeps you safe.
I did not ask for it, I am safe within my own mind.
Then you are not of the right mind. The community must cooperate to exist in harmony.
I am not of the community.
But you purchased land. Only we made that possible.
Without you, I would have made it my land or died trying.
Well, then, you are welcome.
For what?
Our help.
I did not ask for it.
You did not have to. The community asked for you, in your own best interests according to their best wishes.
I refuse it.
Then we must take back our land. We are very sorry about this. You will be better off under our care.
You will have to kill me first.
Okay. The community has decided. It is right.
A man can only be free in his mind.
