Privatize the U.S. Postal Service?

Same reason he wants to shit can all the other worthless money pits that suck at doing their job.

The USPS delivers to places in the United States that private companies won’t because they can’t turn a profit. If you “shit can” it you will end postal service for big swathes of rural America. Those of us in dense blue cities will be fine, but red America will suffer.

Considering most of rural America already goes to town to get their mail moving from USPS to UPS that most the county already uses, they won't really be "suffering" lol...but please keep the histrionics up, they're amusing.

"Suffering"..... (y) (y) Boomers having to make a minor adjustment to their in town errands, so much suffering!!! :ROFLMAO:

You do realize that there is a fairly large population of parents of boomers that are less ambulatory and not running errands on a regular basis? In US addresses that are north of the Mason-Dixon line, I'd say that there are 22 million or more in their 80s and older that can't get to town for months each year. You seem so smart, yet, rather self-assured that you are always right.

Regardless of parcel carrier, because the 10ft to 10block difference between the two really doesn't matter after the 45min-2hr drive into town, If they are so old and busted they can't make it into town then maybe the remote backwoods life ain't for them anymore. :) (y) (y)

Yup. It's called being secure in who you are and what you believe. ;)

Consider the definition of obtuse, if you will. If you want to have a conversation and solve some problems, open your mind a bit. If you just want to one-up anyone and everyone with your secure views on the world, keep it up. I don't think you convince many with your attitude.

Even 80-somethings (and older) in a town of 10,000+ can be home bound due to snow and ice. They don't go out often in winter and must rely on others for essentials like medication.

Really, why privatize it. It’s run so efficiently and economically. If Trump wants to do it , it has to be wrong. Get you head out of the sand people. The Fed govt needs a strong high colonic.

The Postal Service is a specified constitutional function of the federal government. It has operated with reasonable efficiency since the beginning of the Republic. Why fix what ain't broke?

I guess this is why.

One thing for sure, when you walked in to the new post offices you won't find slow moving people trying to look busy. They will be busy.

My dealings with them are kept to the barest of minimums. It preserves my sanity and Holiday Spirit.

Contracting government biz out to the private sector usually turns out to be a very bad idea.

I think the two astronauts stranded on the space station may disagree.

Thank you for basically calling out the dickhead. I can manage the walk to my mailbox. It's not far, but still, a walker is hard on my hands at my age. Chad is, btw, not often right about things at all. Blowhard at best.

Appreciate your remarks.

They wouldn't be stranded if NASA had retained its own launch capacity instead of contracting it out.

It's said that we learn from our mistakes. This may be a hard lesson to absorb. Will anyone fix it, or will we be repeating it? That's, someone said, the definition of insanity.

My mind is open. Just not to bullshit and Karen type tone policing.

LOL whatever KAREN, if fee fees over facts types want to delude themselves and live in (D)ipshit fantasy land that's on them.

Yes and water is wet, so the fuck what?? Ya want a boo hoo or something????

USPS still sucks and it wouldn't change anything for the ancients if UPS delivered their shit instead of USPS. Most rural ancients will actually get BETTER service from UPS than they will USPS.
