There were overhead cranes to move them around in and railroad cars. Electromagnets were used to pick them up and move them. On occasion something would go wrong and a plate would drop. It literally sounded like a bomb going off.

A good engineer is worth their avoirdupois in steel.

And even better ones clear minefields, dig nice cozy holes for your tank to get into a turret down position, bring in hescoes to give you cover. Ooops. Different kinda engineer!

I called him down. But I could not get back to sleep. I know I have to live a long life as my adult kids especially my son needs me. It’s a challenge but I accept it.

Morning all! One cuppa down and all caught up on this thread for a few seconds.

Making a mental list of what to do today. Works been super busy the last few weeks so can’t get anything done outside after work.

I have to deliver some firewood today. Got some work done at the farmyard done, so I have to clean up there. Fill a few bins of firewood at the farm stand and get a Christmas tree and finish raking leaves.

Gotta see my mom in there somewhere too.
