I might have actually been asleep when you posted this yesterday, Impy! I've been so tired lately. I was talking with a friend and kept falling asleep. I woke myself up because I was also talking in my sleep.

Dog wanted out this morning. Opened the door, and she just stared from four feet away. It was a big nope! Tried to send her out, she did a complete 180 maneuver at the threshold and ran back to her bed.

I don't know how much is out there, but it's a lot.

Anyway, another snow day for the kids. Lucky little buggers, we never had them when I was little!

So I don’t spend much time in the bar this time of the year as too busy with the dogs n stuff. Occasionally I have to vent.

Would you believe that someone in the village has put Christmas lights outside their house. For gods sake it’s a rural area we don’t need such nonsense it’s so down market. It makes it look like some God Damn housing estate!

Then some idiot today asked if my Christmas tree was up…….yes it is….up in the bloody roof-space where it belongs until Christmas week.

Other that than it was a good day on the hill with the boys!

I'll have you know that in the before times, my house was lit up like a damn runway by Thanksgiving! Planes coming in to the airport received instructions, "Turn X° at @Lilianna23's house."

Christmas decorations inside were complete by the end of Thanksgiving weekend.

I'm glad you didn't feel any effects. Seattle had a big (6.9) earthquake in the late 90s. It was a frightening time.

Long day at work.

Then dinner… and AGAIN fell asleep early. I am not liking this pattern at all. Fell asleep on couch around 8. Then up again at 10. Trying to stay up till the end of this football game.

Been waking up again at early hours of the morning (1230 last nite and 330 the nite before). Have to get back into a healthy sleep routine.

Looking forward to a long weekend. Seeing an old army buddy tomorrow nite, then Pittsburgh for a long weekend, visiting friends. Then back home on Monday afternoon.

Hopefully get my sleep back on track.

You're likely falling asleep early because your body needs the sleep. I'm so sorry you're waking up in the night. I've been doing the same thing. So frustrating!

I actually have a fair amount of cedar that I’ve milled into fence posts.

It’s red cedar and not good for firewood. I will use it outside a bit in a bonfire but that’s abt it.

I have no idea what kind of cedar this is. My neighbor doesn't want the wood, says they've stopped burning.

I'll probably just have it placed under my deck until I can find someone who wants it.

I have been waking up at 2 or 3 and my mind is active keeping me awake. But I say a mantra out loud that helps distract my mind enough I fall asleep.

Please share your mantra! (If you can.) I've been waking up after just a few hours also.

I learned yesterday that my adult stepchildren who I have seen around Christmas the past 12 years, will not be coming to Michigan this year. And I can’t blame them as the last 3 years have been visiting with aging and dying family members. I am just sad I will not see them. I will just have to plan some visits!

I'm sad that you won't see them this Christmas but glad you can plan some visits later.
