Trump's minions didn't like the sheriff because he arrested an evangelical "Christian" preacher for holding a 100+ member church gathering at the height of Covid-19 lockdowns.

Oh, I disagree 😝. Trump burned dozens of bridges with his picks the first time in office. Anyone with any experience either wants nothing to do with him or has already been fired once. So he's focusing on supremely unqualified candidates this time around, who offer nothing but slavish "loyalty" to the president, Constitution be damned!
