Thank you as an excellent explanation. I believe I saw one about 2 weeks ago.

There is a wild hybrid canid living in the eastern United States, and it is the result of evolution occurring right under our noses!
Over the years these dynamic canids have acquired a number of nicknames. Both "Coywolf" and “Coydog” have been growing in popularity; however, the majority of the scientific community prefer the less flashy moniker: “Eastern Coyote.” It's no surprise that "wolf" and "dog" have been woven into the identity of wild canids in the region, as current science indicates a number of species are represented within the genome of the eastern coyote. Ecologist and evolutionary biologist Javier Monzón, previously at Stony Brook University in New York, now at Pepperdine University in California, analyzed the DNA of 437 eastern coyotes and found the genes contain all three canids -- dog, wolf and coyote. According to Monzón's research, about 64% of the eastern coyote's genome is coyote (Canis latrans), 13% gray wolf (Canis lupus), 13% Eastern wolf (Canis lycaon), and 10% dog (Canis familiaris). Sounds like a recipe for canis soup!

It can be very disorienting too.Good morning MissK, OM and Wat. Have you ever been in a deep sleep and suddenly been awaken? It’s awful! My dog did it to me this morning. Love the old guy but sure wish he had waited an hour. I was walking around in a daze. Need my coffee.
Thanks Wonderer. And good morning. It can be very disorienting too.
Sorry that happened to you, B2.
That’s quite the lineup! Would love to see Rickie Lee! Saw Lucinda at a music festival in Virginia a few years ago. Sounds like y’all had a great time!Funnnite last nite. We went to the Jesse Mallin benefit concert last night at the Beacon Theater in NYC after work.
Jesse is a musician who has punk rock roots and was very active in the early NYC scene. But as the scene changed he branched out into more rock and country and singer songwriter stuff. He is played often on the outlaw country station.
Long story short, he had a rare for of spinal stroke that left him a paraplegic. As a musician, his careeer is mostly over but a bunch of bands and artists have helped him. Lucinda Williams played, Rickie Lee Jones, Adam Duritz Fromm the Ckubting Crows, all played etc.
Then Jesse and his band came out and played. They were great. He sat most of the set, but 2x forced himself to stand.
Very moving night. Got home at 1.
Now back to work!
Yes! The other morning I was in the middle of a dream, and apparently my hand was hanging over the edge of the bed. Dog wanted out, so put her ice cold wet nose on my hand.
