A Christmas Story 1983

This film balances humor, creativity, and wholesome childhood spirit (sprinkled with sarcasm). I can quote this movie by heart and actually have the leg lamp. And yes, it does go in the front window so everyone can bask in the aura of "electrified sex."

I don't love it, I don't hate it. I am not a fan of Will Ferrell moves (save one that I truly love,) but I went into it with such low expectations that I found it charming. But my kid loves it, so I will watch it with her every year -- and run the "jump into the Christmas tree" scene forward and back at least three times.

Daniel Tay's no sell makes that.
