'Democracy under siege': International press condemn Trump

The chaos unleashed on the US Capitol by Donald Trump's supporters dominated front pages across the world Thursday, with headlines such as "Trump sets fire to Washington", "Democracy under siege", and "The Coup of Madness".

For the most part the international press laid the blame squarely at the outgoing president's feet, accusing him of having encouraged the violence.

In Britain, "Trump supporters storm heart of American democracy" was the headline in The Times, describing how, "Democrats and Republicans alike pulled on gas masks and sheltered under desks and staff hid in offices."

"Democracy under siege", wrote The Daily Telegraph, reporting "unprecedented scenes of violence and chaos" in Washington as "hordes of Trump supporters" stormed the Capitol.

Even the Chinese are hooting on Trump!

'You belong in jail!' Rudy Giuliani blasted with fury after blaming Capitol takeover on Antifa

Rudy Giuliani finally got around to condemning the violent takeover of the U.S. Capitol by his client's supporters, hours after he helped stoke the mob's anger -- and he was hit with swift and strong backlash.

President Donald Trump encouraged his supporters to march on the Capitol as Congress certified Joe Biden's election win, after Giuliani called for "trial by combat" to overturn the results, but stayed largely silent on the violence until nearly 18 hours after the mob entered the building.

"The violence at the Capitol was shameful," Giuliani tweeted. "It was as criminal as the rioting and looting this summer which was not condemned strongly enough by the Left. This violence is condemned in the strongest terms. Our movement values respect for law and order and for the Police."

Twitter was not amused!

Don't be fooled — most Republicans still side with insurrectionists

Calling for "peace" was the word of the day on Capitol Hill Wednesday, after an insurrectionist mob overran the U.S. Capitol, in what was ultimately a failed attempt to prevent Congress from affirming Joe Biden's victory in November's presidential election. Some politicians — mostly Democrats, but a few clearly rattled Republicans — meant these words of peace. But some, most obviously Donald Trump himself, did not.

In his repeated messages to supporters Wednesday and into Thursday, Trump made sure to sandwich every mealy-mouthed wish for peace in between carbo-loaded language inciting more violence by continuing to insist that he won "a sacred landslide election victory" and that it's being "unceremoniously & viciously stripped away."

The other numbers that are relevant here are 121 and 138. Those are the House Republicans that voted to throw out the election results of Arizona and Pennsylvania, respectively. That means that 57% of House Republicans voted to void Arizona's election and a whopping 65% of House Republicans voted to void Pennsylvania's, which would disenfranchise millions of American voters.

All those 121/138 members should be stripped of their office for Sedition and sent home in disgrace!

Chuck 'N' Nancy To VP Pence: Kick Him Out Or We'll Impeach The Motherf*cker Already

Ever since yesterday, as we watched terrorist rioters attack the US Capitol on President Treason's orders, people have been saying it's time for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, and if he wouldn't, time for Congress to impeach the motherfucker again, and this time finish the job.

Rumors started going around in the news last night that the invocation of the 25th Amendment was being "discussed," but who knows how real that was.

But today, incoming Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was unequivocal.

"What happened at the U.S. Capitol yesterday was an insurrection against the United States, incited by the president," Schumer, D-N.Y., said in a statement Thursday morning. "This president should not hold office one day longer.""

The quickest and most effective way — it can be done today — to remove this president from office would be for the vice president to immediately invoke the 25th Amendment," Schumer said. "If the vice president and the Cabinet refuse to stand up, Congress should reconvene to impeach the president."

This afternoon, during a press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi cosigned Schumer's statement, noting that any day between now and Joe Biden's inauguration "can be a horror show for America."

Bolton, on CNN today, said that the 25th Amendment, Section 4, wouldn't be helpful with Trump now because the provision says the president can deny he's incapacitated in a letter to Congress and Congress couldn't decide on it for 21 days (with only 12 days left in Trump's term now). But my reading of that clause is that the vice president remains in charge in those 21 days, which is all that is needed in this case. All that is needed is for Trump to be isolated, without communications, for the next two weeks. Then he could be given a one-way ticket to Tehran. I understand the Iranians would like to speak to him.

'Bunker' Trump mocked as a 'coward' for fleeing to Camp David amid talk of 25th Amendment

Less than 24 hours after armed insurrectionists seized the U.S. Capitol at the president's urging, Donald Trump fled the city to Camp David.

The weekend vacation comes amid reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called Vice President Mike Pence to request a move to invoke the 25th Amendment, which removes the president from office if there is a belief he cannot continue his role.

Several Trump staffers have resigned as has Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao effective Jan. 11.

Trump has been banned from his social media accounts after inciting violence with tweets and videos Wednesday. So, it's unclear how the president will be able to direct his supporters to continue their assault on Washington.

Twitter was alight!

Trump should be going to Guantanamo, not Camp David.

So Velveeta Voldemort is going to Camp David for the weekend.
One simple solution to this mess is to change the White House locks.

Pence camp thinks Trump ‘set up the VP to take the fall’ — endangering his life in the process: CNN

Sources close to Pence think Trump set him up and needlessly endangered his life in the process, according to a new report from CNN.

"President Donald Trump and top White House officials did little to check in on Vice President Mike Pence while he and members of his family were inside the US Capitol when Trump-backed rioters stormed the halls of Congress on Wednesday, a source close to the vice president tells CNN," Jim Acosta reported. "Several of the violent Trump supporters who were rampaging the US Capitol were heard screaming 'where's Mike Pence,' the source said, frightening the vice president and his family."

Mike "The Patsy" Pence has always been the go to fall guy. :)

'We don't need a long trial': GOP lawmakers breaking ranks and saying they will consider impeaching Trump

According to a report from CNN's Jamie Gangel, a few Republican lawmakers are stating that they will seriously consider impeaching Donald Trump should they be presented with another bill of impeachment.

Speaking with "New Day" host John Berman, Gangel reported, "For the last 24 hours I have been hearing from former allies of the president, Republicans who say they want him out of office before the 20th."

"Whether it's the 25th amendment, whether he resigns or now -- I am told by two members of Congress, Republicans, that they will consider voting for impeachment and one said to me that 'we don't need a long trial, we experienced it firsthand.' So [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi hasn't made the decision to move forward, they haven't seen the articles of impeachment yet, but they will consider voting for it."

"Just for some context, John, even though we think it is unlikely in 12 days that Trump would actually be removed from office, and we don't know what Sen. Mitch McConnell would do, this would make history if it passes in the House, it would make Trump the first president in history to be impeached twice," Gangel added.

Nancy should absolutely put Mitch in the box on Monday!:)

Trump in 'significant legal jeopardy' for inciting US Capitol riot: ex-FBI director

Appearing on CNN's "New Day" with hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota, former Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe, said Donald Trump is likely looking at being investigated for inciting the invasion and riot at the U.S. Capitol that sent lawmakers fleeing for their lives.

With reports that the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia is looking into prosecuting the outgoing president. McCabe was asked by Berman, "The news coming out of the D.C. U.S. Attorney is that he won't rule out prosecuting the president of the United States. What legal jeopardy is the president in this morning?"

All that is needed is Trump's Twitter and his videos where he called for Insurrection and sedition over the last two months. His own words will convict him.

Just do it cowards!

‘You don’t have to do this’: Lindsey Graham dunked in scorn for trying to save Trump from another impeachment

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) tried to defend President Donald Trump from becoming the first president to get impeached twice, and he was widely mocked and criticized.

The South Carolina Republican refused to sign on Wednesday night to the president's efforts to undo his election loss, after pro-Trump rioters broke into the U.S. Capitol in a riot incited by the president, but two days later Graham complained that impeachment would be too divisive.

A dangerous precedent is allowing a sitting President to incite a mob of people to storm the capitol. He should never hold political office again. He needs to be impeached. And they should take you with him.

IOW, Fuck all the way off Lindsey!
