“I want to tell our viewers, the Mueller investigation is preparing at the DOJ to receive this as early as next week. The clearest indication that it is wrapping up,” CNN host Brianna Keilar said.

“That doesn’t mean that the investigation of the president or the people associated with the president is in any way over,” CNN crime and justice reporter Shimon Prokupecz added.

“Because there is still very much a lingering problem for him out of the Southern District of New York and … that is one of the things that concerns the president and the president’s people much more than this Mueller investigation. That is where he is still facing a lot of jeopardy. He’s already been implicated in one crime there. They just now subpoenaed all of the financial records for the inauguration.”

Nancy Pelosi will act fast to terminate Trump’s national emergency: report

In a letter, Pelosi asked members of Congress to support the legislation.

“I write to invite all Members of Congress to cosponsor Congressman Joaquin Castro’s privileged resolution to terminate this emergency declaration,” Pelosi wrote, adding that they will “move swiftly to pass this bill.”

“The President’s decision to go outside the bounds of the law to try to get what he failed to achieve in the constitutional legislative process violates the Constitution and must be terminated,” she added.

Trump megadonor ripped off thousands of tenants by stealing their security deposits: lawsuit

Geoffrey Palmer, a billionaire developer who is one of President Donald Trump’s biggest donors, is being accused of “systematically” ripping off his tenants with a “bad faith” scheme to retain their security deposits.

NBC Los Angeles reports that Palmer was sued this week by San Diego attorney Jimmie Davis Parker on behalf of tenants who were wrongly billed for work done after they had moved out of his buildings.

Quoting Buzzfeed, Bernstein relayed: “Although President Donald Trump tweeted that he had ordered his administration to cut off disaster aid to wildfire victims in California, federal officials confirmed on Wednesday that they never received any such directive.”

He then turned to the scaling back of Trump’s much-ballyhooed “Space Force.”

“Bowing to bipartisan concerns in Congress, President Trump retreated Tuesday from his plan to create an independent ‘space force’ in the Pentagon, proposing instead to consolidate the military’s space operations and personnel in the Air Force,” Bernstein wrote, linking to the Los Angeles Times report.

“In both cases, it’s as if Trump had carefully read Richard Neustadt’s classic study of presidential power and then chosen to do the exact opposite of what it advises,” the Bloomberg columnist wrote.

Watch Trump humiliate his own trade rep in front of laughing Chinese guests

The boss is always right. United States trade representative Robert Lighthizer realized as much in real-time with cameras rolling inside the White House Friday as Chinese trade representatives chuckled in the background.

The exchange between Trump and Lighthizer had to do with language, specifically, what a “memorandum of understanding” meant in trade negotiations parlance.

Trump conveyed to reporters in the room that the memorandums would “be very short term,” and that “I don’t like MOUs because they don’t mean anything,” Bloomberg reported.

That prompted a surprised Lighthizer to defend the strategy, saying, “an MOU is a binding agreement between two people….it’s detailed [and] covers everything in great detail.”

Speaking as much to Trump as to the Chinese and reporters in the room as way of clarification, the trade rep continued by saying: “It’s a legal term….a contract.”

A Chinese negotiator, Vice Premier Liu He, laughed out loud at the apparent real time misunderstanding between Trump and Lighthizer on what a memorandum of understanding meant.

The problem with Don is, he doesn't understand what Terms mean, like Dumbass!

Back in New York, the Manhattan District Attorney's Major Economic Crimes Unit was slowly building a case against Ivanka and Don Jr. The Trump kids were represented by their own criminal defense team. But in May of 2012, Poppy Trump's personal lawyer Marc Kasowitz went to visit Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance to discuss the case. By sheer coincidence, Mr. Kasowitz had donated $25,000 to Cyrus Vance's reelection campaign in January of that year. And in another striking coincidence, Mr. Vance ordered his staff to drop the case against the Trumps shortly after the meeting. (Everything went to hell in that office after Adam Schiff retired!)

To be fair, Mr. Vance returned the $25,000 to Mr. Kasowitz before meeting with him in May. But in yet another coincidence, after the charges against the Trumps were dropped, Mr. Kasowitz hosted a fundraiser for Mr. Vance which netted more than $50,000.

And in another coincidence, guess who was involved in the Trump Soho deal?

Their partners on the project included two Soviet-born businessmen, Felix Sater and Tevfik Arif, who ran the Bayrock Group, a real-estate-development firm.

Oh, look! It's the family's Russian fixer Felix Sater and Trump's bazillionaire Kazakh gangster pal Tevfik Arif!

Superfans will remember Sater, who most recently came to our attention for promising to coordinate with Vladimir Putin's team to get Trump elected. Via email, of course, which was published in the New York Times, of course.

Former FBI chiefs James Comey & Andrew McCabe have both admitted in their books that they soft-balled their investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, writing their aquittals of her behavior even BEFORE Mrs. Clinton was interviewed! Both Comey & McCabe face possible jail time for their enormously-partisan activities while working within the bureau.

In any case, do YOU think the U.S. Senate investigation was thorough & complete? Or do you only accept its findings regarding Hillary, while refusing to do so regarding Trump/Russia collusion? And HOW do you think you'll re-act when the Mueller investigation concludes that there was no collusion? Will you then attack Mueller for failing to live up to the hopes of so many Trump-hating liberals?

No, and THANK GOD they're not senators - as neither one of them will ever be elected to anything after being exposed as the corrupt & dishonest liars that they both are, neither worthy to have served in the FBI. Those two politicized the bureau like President Obama attempted to politicize the Department of Justice with his crooked partisan appointments. Remember Barack's IRS Chief Lois Lerner, and how she had to repeatedly take the Fifth to avoid answering questions about targetting conservative fund-raising groups?

In any event, the U.S. Senate has completed its investigation, just as Robert Mueller is wrapping-up his own. The Senate found no Russia collusion, the same as Mueller. Of course, House Democrats won't be happy, and will no doubt try and launch new witch-hunts, but the end-result is going to be the same.

Bullshit effect. Comey queered the election against Clinton right before the election and neglected to mention that the FBI had an even more serious investigation going on the other candidate. That's the reality of how Comey put his thumb on the elections scales against Clinton--words in a book mean crap on this.

Yeah, Hillary was definitely pissed-off about that, wasn't she? And her long history of questionable ethical behavior certainly didn't help.

But in his OWN BOOK, Comey explains why he did what he did! He & Andrew McCabe were both 100% certain that Mrs. Clinton would defeat Trump in any case, what with the media and the Hollywood entertainment community both firmly on her side, giving her tons of campaign cash, not to mention Barack & Michelle both hitting the campaign trail to help her lock-up those big swing states that she'd need to put it away (Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, etc.)

In his book, Comey details how he was WORRIED that word of the FBI's withholding information on the eve of the election might ultimately TAINT her victory over Trump, and he certainly didn't want to see that! And so he released the information, fully intending to reel it back in before the voters actually went to the polls! Sadly for Comey (and McCabe), their candidate's long history of corruption was just too much for the voters to accept in the end. Hillary goes into great detail about all of this in the first of the two books she wrote about why she lost!
