The 109th Weak of Frantic Donald starts as 'notables' advocate Impeachment and Mitch seems hesitant to do much but shy away form the fight.

Trump’s emergency declaration is a ‘looming disaster’ for McConnell and Republicans in 2020: GOP donor

A new report in The Washington Post points to a looming potentially perilous situation (or as the Post puts it an “an epic constitutional standoff “) for Republicans up for re-election next year.

The crux of it all will be when House Democrats soon order up, as expected, a new resolution disapproving of Trump’s emergency declaration regarding his wall, said the Post on Friday.

“The inter-party feud will come to a head in a matter of weeks, as House Democrats gear up to pass a resolution disapproving of Trump’s emergency declaration. Under congressional rules, that resolution would automatically come to the Senate for a vote in a matter of days, forcing Republicans to take a position,” the report noted.

Key Republicans such as Mitch McConnell (R-KY) could be at risk, per the Post.

Which Brave, Articulate, Handsome, Republican will break ranks and lead the party out of the swamp that is Trump Inc? Where is the Savior of the Elephant?

Trump served notice to betrayed GOP with emergency declaration — it’s all about him: columnist

“Though he expects loyalty from Republicans, President Trump has never demonstrated much fidelity to the party that he leads, and on Friday he proved it again,” columnist Dan Balz wrote.

“In declaring a national emergency to fund his border wall,” Balz continued, “the president reminded Republican lawmakers that he feels free to trample on them whenever it suits him.”

“For Republican lawmakers, these past weeks have been a bracing reminder of the man who hijacked their party in 2016 and re-created it in his image, a man who has forced them to live with the consequences,” Balz concluded. “Their relationship remains fraught, as this whole episode has illustrated.”

For Republicans, especially those in Congress, the national emergency debacle “was another reminder that, when it comes to Trump, it’s all about him and rarely about them,” he added.

GO ahead Lumpy, you don't need no stinking Senate!:D:D

Trump faced with GOP Senate rebellion over emergency declaration putting approval in doubt

Some Republicans in the Senate are angry that President Donald Trump declared a national emergency to get his wall built while circumventing Congress — and may vote against it with Democrats.

“He is usurping congressional authority,” Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), a longtime member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, told the New York Times. “If the president can reallocate for his purposes billions of dollars in federal funding that Congress has approved for specific purposes and have been signed into law, that has the potential to render the appropriations process meaningless.”

GOP Senate leadership aides say there may be as many as 10 potential Republican defectors and as the report noted, four would be enough to create a pass a majority resolution to rebuke Trump’s decision.

As Sen. Collins sees it, challenging Trump’s declaration is “a fundamental constitutional responsibility of Congress.

“We should be opposing this strongly,” the Maine Republican said.

Are you sure you don't need no stinking Senate, Lumpy?

We'll see. Trump is handing the Republicans one more chance to dramatically break with him at little cost (no one wants the wall--Trump probably doesn't give a shit about an actual wall either) and erase all of the enabling and hands sitting they've done in the eyes of the voters in their personal races in 2020. Will they take it? They can override him on this and everyone will just trot off and let it go. Trump has bigger challenges to his political survival and a constituency that is dumb as a rock. Trump's behavior in announcing the "national emergency" did everything but openly say "Yeah, go ahead and vote me down on this one so I can tell my dumb supporters I did everything I could and it isn't my fault."

Noam Chomsky: Those who failed to recognize Trump as the greater evil made ‘a bad mistake’

Leftist scholar Noam Chomsky has a message for voters who refused to cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton to prevent Donald Trump from winning the White House: You made a “bad mistake.”

On both moral and practical levels, Chomsky told Al Jazeera‘s Medhi Hasan, the choice was clear.

“Do you vote against the greater evil if you don’t happen to like the other candidate?” asked Chomsky, who spoke out during the election against Trump’s candidacy—and in fact predicted his rise six years ago. “The answer to that is yes.”

It is a shame that people hated Hillary so much that they would even consider voting for Don the Con, the Lumpy Dumpling, the Lying Liar who knows no truth!

Mike Pence ‘visibly shook’ as nobody claps at his applause lines during disastrous European trip

Vice President Mike Pence received a cold welcoming from world leaders as he attempted to convince other countries to follow President Donald Trump.

Speaking to the Munich Security Conference in Germany, Pence told the audience he brought greetings from Trump.

Not a single person clapped.

Pence was also embarrassed while speaking to the Peace and Security in the Middle East conference in Warsaw, Poland.

Pence’s speech had an expected applause line, but it followed the Vice President demanding that the other countries follow the United States and withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.

The crowd, who had assembled to discuss bringing peace to the Middle East, refused to clap.

Lumpy's Impeachment Insurance failed! Film at 11!:)

It wasn't just that people hated Hillary (and she certainly has some unlikeable traits, which, however, are linked to her political strengths and would not be held as much against a male as they are against her). It's that they allowed themselves to be duped by both decades of Republican Swiftboating of her and a Russian smear campaign without being able or willing to discern the overkill of the smear campaigning.

As for Trump, he was so evidently rotten on so many levels, shown well before he ran for anything, that there's no excuse except something rotten in those who went ahead and voted for him against just about anyone else on earth.

WHo's Stupid Now?

Trump ridiculed for claiming he’s building his wall: ‘Even more stupid than the morons at your rallies’

President Donald Trump took a break from his Mar-a-Largo vacation to give an update on his border wall.

Trump had famously promised that Mexico would pay for a concrete wall, but that proved false when Mexico refused.

Despite his public failures, Trump used all capital letters in a tweet claiming he is currently building his wall.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

BUILDING THE WALL!

The Snark Followed!

Ann Coulter

@AnnCoulter

No, the goal of a national emergency is for Trump to scam the stupidest people in his base for 2 more years.

243 lb of Stupid am our Lumpy Dumpling!:D

“I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it,” Trump is heard saying. It was unclear when the events he was describing took place. The tape was recorded several months after he married his third wife, Melania.

“Whoa,” another voice said.

“I did try and f--- her. She was married,” Trump says.

Trump continues: “And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.’”

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” Trump says. “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

Nancy Pelosi ‘has standing to sue Trump’ in federal court — and a ‘compelling case’: Harvard Law professor

Constitution expert Laurence Tribe on Saturday explained how Speaker Nancy Pelosi has legal standing to sue President Donald Trump over his declaration of a national emergency to build his border wall.

Prof. Tribe has taught at Harvard Law for fifty years and has argued three dozen cases before the United States Supreme Court.

“Trump’s actions clearly violate the Congress’s exclusive power of the purse, which our Founders enshrined in the Constitution,” Pelosi tweeted. “The Congress will defend our constitutional authorities in the Congress, in the Courts, and in the public, using every remedy available.”

Tribe agreed, while explaining a potential remedy at the Speaker’s disposal.

“The House of Representatives has standing to sue Trump in the US district court for DC,” Tribe noted.

Experts agree, "Trump is a Chump!"

:):rolleyes::D

Trump defender Dershowitz smacks president’s national emergency declaration: ‘A mistake

“My own view is that it was a mistake to do it. I think emergencies are things that happened suddenly. The problems with immigration are long term,” he explained.

“The Constitution requires that all spending bills originate in the House of Representatives. This is a way of circumventing that provision of the Constitution,” he continued.

Dershowitz then claimed Trump’s move will likely end up in court where it may not be received favorably.

Lindsey Graham goes all-in on Trump talking points: ‘It’s better’ for kids to have a border wall than new schools

During an interview on Face the Nation, host Margaret Brennan explained that $3.6 billion of the funds for President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration to build a border wall could come from military funds “including construction of a middle school in Kentucky.”

Graham, however, told Brennan that the children of Kentucky need a border wall more than they need new schools.

Ms. Lindsey has lost her freeking mind!

"Only The Best People"

Here is how Elliott Abrams found himself at the center of a dark Reagan-era conspiracy to spring a CIA-linked trafficker

In a U.S. House Committee hearing on Thursday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) scorched Abrams for his covering up of the infamous El Mozote massacre and lying to Congress during the Iran-Contra conspiracy in the 1980s.

Her interrogation drew rebuke from Max Boot, the apostate conservative, and a chorus of right-wing media commentators. Boot described Omar’s comments as a “disgraceful ad hominem attack.”

Actually, the impertinent congresswoman from Minneapolis could have gone much further about Abrams’ untrustworthy behavior. One of the most revealing stories comes from an impeccably right-wing source, Oliver North, former Republican senatorial candidate and Fox News talking head.

Abrams fuckery during the Reagan Admin. shows how Upright and Loyal to the COnstitution Elliot is.

Rep. Omar could have asked an even tougher question of Abrams, namely, “Does Trump’s policy toward Latin America today involve protection of drug traffickers as Reagan’s policy did in the 1980s?”

She was certainly justified in questioning his veracity.

“I fail to understand why members of this committee or the American people should find any testimony you give today to be truthful,” she said.

Elliot is as reliable as the Trumpster!

Chris Wallace calls Rush Limbaugh a hypocrite — to his face: ‘You were outraged’ over Obama’s executive actions

Chris Wallace wipes the floor with Stephen Miller: ‘It’s always a challenge interviewing you’

‘Arrogant Jew!’ Fox News viewers launch assault on Chris Wallace for grilling Rush Limbaugh and Stephen Miller

On his Sunday show, Wallace forced the two Republicans to face facts and cross-examination. He met Miller with statistics refuting the need for a border wall to combat drugs, and he suggested that Limbaugh was a hypocrite for supporting President Donald Trump’s use of executive power to thwart the will of Congress.

Fox News viewers responded on Twitter by insisting Wallace is too “liberal” for the network. One angry tweeter referred to Wallace as an “arrogant Jew.”

Fox viewers can't believe that Chris Wallace is trying to cut thru the bullshit Rethuglicans spew as 'what WE believe'. They want more Word Salad from on high, rather than facts and reality.:)

Husband of Kellyanne Conway slaps Trump for ‘debasing” the office of the presidency

One day after mocking the president standing at an omelot bar at one of his golf courses, conservative attorney George Conway, in essence, told the president to chill out for a day after Trump tweeted an all-cap screed reading: “THE RIGGED AND CORRUPT MEDIA IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!”

Conway suggested to Trump he take some time off in the name of “the Lord.”

“The Lord made Sunday a day of rest,” Conway tweeted. “You could at least take one day off from debasing your office.”

Ah, but Trumpski is no quitter, every day is debasement day to the Trumpski.:D

Russia is over the moon about the growing rift between Donald Trump and European allies: NYT

Vice President Mike Pence had a rough time in Europe over the weekend, after leaders gave him the cold shoulder. According to the New York Times, that lackluster response extends beyond the Pence performance.

“Two years of Mr. Trump, and a majority of French and Germans now trust Russia and China more than the United States,” said longtime analyst of German-American relations Karl Kaiser.

Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov was elated with the new rift as his country stands to benefit from Trump’s self-made crisis.

Lavrov “happily noted the strains, remarking that the Euro-Atlantic relationship had become increasingly ‘tense,'” the Times reported.

“We see new cracks forming, and old cracks deepening,” said Lavrov.

Is Putin complicit in the 'increased tensions' created by Donald, or merely the beneficiary of the chaos caused by a few Bots?:D

Both, of course. And the Russian campaign of chaos in America is caused by more than a few bots.

‘Alarm bells all the way through’: Ex-special agent says Trump’s behavior left FBI with no choice but to investigate

Former FBI special agent Clint Watts told MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson on Monday that federal law enforcement officials had no choice but to investigate President Donald Trump given his alarming behavior during the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.

Among other things, Watts said that Trump’s public statements about Russia shortly following the Comey firing — as well as his reported declaration to Russian officials that firing Comey had taken “great pressure” off of him — were flashing red lights that officials at the Department of Justice and FBI could not ignore.

Plus, who would trust the Trumpster to know the Truth, much less speak it?

Twitler is Rage Tweeting on Monday!

‘Illegal and treasonous!’ Trump calls his own deputy AG a traitor in crazed early morning tweet

President Donald Trump on Monday accused his own deputy attorney general of being a traitor in an unhinged early morning Twitter rant.

“Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe,” the president wrote. “He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught. There is a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like and who has done a great job for them with the Military, Vets, Economy and so much more. This was the illegal and treasonous ‘insurance policy’ in full action!”

‘The dam could break’: Nate Silver thinks Trump’s ‘national emergency’ may be in real peril from Senate GOP

Polling expert Nate Silver, who has written an analysis of where things stand with Republican senators with journalist Perry Bacon Jr., thinks it very well could be.

In their unofficial “whip count” of Republican senators, Silver and Bacon find that there is already enough opposition to easily pass the 50-vote threshold necessary to send the bill to the president’s desk, as the resolution being planned by House Democrats does not require 60 votes to invoke cloture on debate.

“In the Senate, 67 votes would be needed to override his veto, meaning 20 Republicans would need to break with the president,” they write. “As noted above, there are more than 20 Senate Republicans wary of this move. So it’s at least theoretically possible that the dam could break; the fissures run deeper than the typical issues on which only a handful of Republicans like Collins and Murkowski are considering a vote against the president.”

:D:D

Exploring invoking Article 25 isn't in any way either treasonous or a coup attempt. It's a Constitutional process.

California Leads!

16 US states sue Trump administration in showdown over border wall funds

A coalition of 16 U.S. states led by California sued President Donald Trump’s administration on Monday over his decision to declare a national emergency to obtain funds for constructing a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California came just days after Trump invoked emergency powers on Friday.

Gavin don't take no shit!:)

Trump-lover loses it when CNN panel nails him for lies about national emergency

The discussion got heated in a CNN panel discussion Sunday. Trump apologist Ben Ferguson claimed Democrats were to blame for refusing to give Trump the money he requested while Republicans ruled the House and Senate.

Republican strategist Tara Setmayer began by criticizing the White House for sending out people like Stephen Miller to comment on immigration reform. She called him nothing more than a “brownshirt,” a reference to members of an early Nazi militia.

“I don’t know why they continue to put Stephen Miller out there,” she continued. “Probably to placate his base. He’s good for that. As far as explaining it to people who are looking at this as objective observers, the answer would be ‘no.'”

Democrats were willing at one point to give Trump $20 billion in wall funding, but Trump turned it down. Trippi said this alone should be enough to discount the claim of it being a “national emergency.”

Ferguson kept talking over everyone and it devolved into chaos from there.

Another Administration Putz!:eek::eek:

A funny thing happened on the way to the apocalypse, Don the Con has been losing Trumpers!
First many called him a moron, then, Fox News Switched, but not Faux Gnewsers. No Faux Gnews has hewed to the same furrow of Trump, Less Taxes for the 1%, protection and dissimulation.

But now there seems to be a division, Eek:eek::eek:
