Shove it in your Pod

Not really a pod cast, just you tube vids, but I enjoy these types of things. I used to be awful at public speaking, and not great when it came to dealing with people in a professional setting because I'm someone who quit school, came up kind of rough, but over the years has managed to keep sliding up in my company and this station really helped me a lot.

Great pod discussing the debate and Chevron. I queued it up to audience questions because the question is about optimism or pessimism and Yuval Levin answers how I feel.....hope is a realm between optimism and pessimism.....that humans can overcome the obstacles because we can. Also, Jonah's answer is also spot on.

"It gave me confidence that he can be President right now. It did not give me confidence that he can beat Donald Trump"
- Jon Favreau, Pod Save America

This is my sentiment, short and succinct, right now. This podcast's hosts were part of the Obama admin and have been huge Biden fanboys from day one. There is so much of what they are saying on this episode where I felt like I was nodding my head in agreement with.

And I think they completely nailed the response to the reaction from the left on this presser.

I mean, for fucks' sake....the majority of people described this presser as the "big boy presser"....this is our fucking President....and that's what you call it? (People on the left have called it that)

I queued up the original quote

This is a great objective discussion about the attempt Saturday.

A few thoughts which Ive thought about as well:
1. The reaction from the right and left have swapped in regards to Gifford's shooting a few years ago
2. Biden should've brought up the congressional baseball shooting, at least, in his speech....Kavanaugh attempt as well
3. Does rhetoric regarding "end of democracy" or "Donald Trump will cancel the next election" or "Trump is Hitler" inevitably lead to this?
4. There must be a bipartisan Congressional investigation

You're correct. It was a visual glitch on my browser. Apologies. Thanks again.

This has been my "go to" podcast of late
BETTER OFFLINE

It is a continuing series of podcasts doing deep dives into how Big Tech basically went to hell in 2015 and is now run by guys who have no technical knowledge whatsoever, they're "Steve Jobs wannabees" and have actively worked to make most of big tech (specifically Google and Facebook) less "user friendly" in the name of "more clicks".

He also predicts the next stock market correction will be caused by wildly inflated expectations of Artificial Intelligence.

With the CBS debacle in the news, Coates sat down with Ezra Klein to have a real interview and discussion. They agreed on things and disagreed on things and Klein pushed back how he should have. I find that I share perspectives with both of them and disagree on both of them in equal parts.

Wow. Thanks for posting this. Still listening and it’s pretty powerful. Hopefully others here might listen too and maybe learn something.

I saw a ton of MAGA kids telling everyone how brilliant 45 was at Bloomberg on muskville.

This pod covers much of that.

Three things in life are certain: death, taxes, and Donald Trump’s love of tariffs. Jonah has braved the no-man’s land that separates conservatives and libertarians to enlist Scott Lincicome, Vice President of the Cato Institute, to discuss his newest report and provide a crash course on tariffs, inflation, and free market principles

Speaking of Ta-Nehisi Coates, here’s the interview that got CBS in some hot water since CBS Mornings anchor Tony Dokoupil has family ties to Israel and kinda went off on him about his book that details his travels to Israel and the West Bank. Let’s just say that Coates’s view on that region doesn’t quite line up with Dokoupil’s.
