The main difference is how sensual the images are, or not. Images done for guys are much cruder. This almost mimics the differences in the buildup to the female and male orgasms. The male one is a faster rise, the female one is a gentler, slower rise.

You are correct to point out that it may be reflective of female arousal tending to be slower than guys' too.

Of course we can. My point is that it's generally harder (relatively speaking) for women to be turned on purely by porn images that are there simply as porn images. We tend to need an emotional reason in our heads on top of the images, and tenderness in the images or some erotica helps with that, whereas men can rely on just their lustful urges alone much easier than women can, meaning cruder images. A lot of men seem almost scared to go too deep into the emotional part.

There is defiantly a lot more cruder images and more hard core porn out there. Just as; more women are starting to produce more "female friendly" porn or porn for couples. With media and porn being everywhere there are many more women who are becoming visual. Many are more inclined to both view it or be involved in it. This could include forums to posting their own experiences on the internet. The internet has allowed those women who like more graphic images to enjoy porn in the privacy of their homes. I suspect there are a lot of women who like "cruder" images but would never admit to it. Just as there are many guys (I'm one of them) who appreciate more "thoughtful" porn. As examples: I dated a woman who's porn viewing made me cringe. Then again, one of the reasons I like the forums you ladies post is because they are not graphic. This being stated in general men want something to the point. Where women want something that floats. If you look there are many porn sites advertising to a female audience. Granted the ratio is a lot different but they are out there. I do want to point out many of these female friendly sites get into more graphic imagines and themes. Even still, the content on these sites are far more respectful than the "normal" porn sites.
