Remember Joe Saying He Had No Knowledge Of Hunter's Business Dealings?

We were there for 20 years, a whole generation that relied on us to provide them security and educational opportunities and we bailed on them.
Because of Trump's deal with the Taliban. Besides, it was never our responsibility to provide anything to the Afghans.

Other western Forces were willing to make a go of it. Maybe China and Iran fill the vacuum.
They saw what came of our efforts, and the Russians before us. If they're dumb enough to have a go at it, that's good for us, really.

In my opinion Trump and Biden were wrong for leaving. The move by both presidents was more about gaining political points than making decisions based on real strategic national interests.
Exactly how was it in our interest to continue spending heaven only knows how much money there year after year with literally nothing to show for it?

It had our support as well. We can blame the State Department and the deep state actors who always want to bring "democracy" and civil action to foreign countries who don't even know what a calendar or a clock is. Afghanistan should have a short "punitive expedition."

The Afghans have a proverb; 'The Americans, like the Russians have plenty of very expensive watches. But we have plenty of time'.

They have defeated every invading country over the millennia, including the Mughals and the British. An army can go in for a short-term objective but history should tell them to bug out asap afterwards.

I stated on several occasions that I disagreed with Trump!

I think your correct in one aspect. At the beginning we lost UBL at Tora Bora where he escaped into Pakistan. CIA and Special ops commanders wanted to use a combined force with GBs CIA and a marine unit stationed in garrison in Kandahar. Our Generals fucked that up, they peepeed in their pants, did not use marine assets to pursue UBL and allowed UBL to escape into pakistan. Should have pursued UBL into Pakistan and taken him out then leave before anyone was the wiser. Losing UBL was a failure at the highest level. Had we got him we then could leave with mission completed and send a message to all terrorist around the world, there are no places on earth where your safe.
Yep, Tommy Franks fucked that up.

The bottom line is this, everything that happened after Biden took office was on Joe Biden, He was the Commander in Chief and could with a simple phone call rearrange all of the deck chairs in the USS Afghanistan. But, like a true Democrat loser, he didn't give a shit about anything but a symbolic exit by 9/11 and fuck everything else.

IMHO, there was a lot to be gained by staying in Afghanistan, both strategically and economically. It seems when we need wise leadership we stumble all over ourselves. Just like we have a footprint in Germany, Japan we could have maintained a base in Afghanistan. Troop casualties were pretty much limited to training accidents. With air support the Afghan army could deal with the Taliban. The second generation of afghan people would be the first organized professionally educated people that would eventually leech into the country side. Establish a co-op government with Afghan and Taliban, develop an economic partnership mining precious metals while keeping an eye on Iran and China. We never sold it to the American people. The stupidity was as profound getting out of Afghanistan as it was getting in. It was a double fuckup costing hundreds of billions of dollars and nothing to show for it.

How Biden exited Afghanistan is stupidity on a galactic scale. I lost friends in Afghanistan and for what? The soldiers I knew didn’t want to leave, we made so much progress.

Their latest report acknowledges that they shouldve started withdraw earlier.

But it proves that there wasn't another choice that didn't involve draw up or continues presence in the country and escalation of hostilities.

But why would he want to do that? Exactly what was there to be gained by continuing a two-decade stalemate?
And the usual caveat applies: if Trump had done the exact same thing, you'd be singing his praises over it.

Hunter Biden's business partners, assistants visited White House over 80 times when Biden was VP

Rosemont Seneca vice president visited Obama White House at least 17 times, met with Joe Biden aides

By Cameron Cawthorne , Jessica Chasmar | Fox News

FIRST ON FOX: Four business partners, a vice president, and two assistants at Hunter Biden’s now-defunct firm visited the White House more than 80 times when his father was vice president in the Obama administration, Fox News Digital has found.

President Biden has repeatedly insisted he had no knowledge of Hunter's business dealings amid dual criminal and congressional investigations into the first son and his family.

However, Joan Mayer, who says she was the vice president of Hunter’s now-defunct investment firm Rosemont Seneca Advisors from 2008 to 2017 on Linkedin, made at least 17 visits to the White House during that time, according to visitor logs reviewed by Fox News Digital.

In October 2009, Mayer attended a vice presidential briefing and met with then-Biden aide Danielle Borrin. Less than a month later, she met with then-Biden executive assistant Nancy Orloff in the West Wing. In July 2013, she met in the West Wing with Kellen Suber, another executive assistant to Vice President Biden at the time, according to the logs.

Of course smarter people have known all along that Joe was lying because lying is what Joe has been doing for most of his life.
Do you remember Trump saying that Mexico would pay for the wall?

Do you remember him saying that all Americans should have health care paid for by the government?

I have no doubt he has some detailed explanation as to how it's all "the Democrat Party"'s fault that didn't happen.

I remember when he said the government should take everyone's guns, and worry about due process later. He's a RINO.

Who made the decision to leave Afghanistan and who was bound by that decision to do it?

I remember Biden saying that:

‘“... look, the idea—the idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews, just understand—and don’t kid yourself, no matter what you all say—that’s called World War Three.”‘
