“I encourage people who get stuck behind the pro-Hamas mobs blocking traffic: take matters into your own hands,” he wrote on his personal account. “It’s time to put an end to this nonsense.”
senator tom cotton calling those protesting the USA's response to the israel/hamas war 'pro hamas mobs' and promoting violence

The senator edited the post minutes later, clarifying that people should “take matters into your own hands to get them out of the way.”

Former President Obama’s speechwriter Jon Favreau was among those who blasted Cotton’s post.

“Just a U.S. Senator calling for vigilante violence,” he wrote on X, later adding that the senator’s edit “doesn’t do much to fix” the post.

this comes as he also said they'd be 'tossed off the bridge' in his home state... so he's clearly advocating that citizens should do something similar, breaking the law, probably causing death or severe injury. ya know, just the sort of thing tom cotton seems to think is just fine when it comes to dealing with protestors.

Amid protests on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco over the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas suggested on Monday that if protesters were in his home state they would have been tossed off the bridge by others.

I hope that all of these school libraries have copies of Mein Kampf and Siege so kids can get well-rounded educations.
Did it work for Trump, having a copy of the 'Collected Speeches of Hitler' as his favorite read?

He thought it was Mein Kampf but couldn't even get that right.
