I'm watching the last season of Netflix's "Ozark", which revolves heavily around the future of the Byrd Family Foundation.

What is the Foundation's purpose? I know it has a public purpose and a private purpose, but -- without going back and watching the previous seasons -- I can't seem to find an answer as to what those purposes are.

Any help?

Front group to launder money from the sale of drugs. The public portion influences politicians and locals, the private goes to cartels.

I’m sure there are more nuanced things but I can’t remember…that’s the Cliff’s Note version.

Like a lot of the shows that go on too long, I find I just want most of the characters to die horribly. :)
