I'm not sure what you mean by "the lobby?" If you mean to the place where you can see your profile and DMs and alerts and Search, try opening several forums and even threads within the forum.

If you're talking about not being able to log on, do you start with a page that has a lot of text and a "submission" link? Click on that link.
