Well, it's the only updated Sherlock Holmes set of stories I've liked. Not even the ones set in the 40s with Basil Rathbone were good ones to me. The two he did, period correct, were great. John Noble doesn't show up until season 4, though he was mentioned a lot by Sherlock as Noble played his father Morland Holmes. Elementary is available on streaming on Hulu. It might be on Paramount Plus, as it is a CBS property. If you like mysteries, it's first-rate. Lucy Lui plays Joan Watson and is as good as anyone's portal of Watson ever. Aidan Quinn as, Captain Thomas Gregson's character. Gregson was the detective from the books and short stories that Doyles Holmes respected the most of all the policemen. It's worth watching, but remember it's a 21st century Holems so not the same as the stories. They use plots and characters from the original story series. I'm a fan, just in case you didn't get it.
EDIT: "Sherlock, Mycroft, and Morland, what's with your family and first names?" can't remember who said it. "Shimwell, what kind of name is that?" Sherlock asks, "Sherlock, what's with your name?" Shimwell. "I've read all the comic books. The Midnight Ranger has been killed five times. My favorite, he plunges to his death from a cliff into a raging river, locked in an embrace with his nemesis," Sherlock Holmes said. You are right. William Bell seems to be in every episode.
Walter always talks about him, Massive Dynamic IS in every episode and then with Olivia being a product of the experiements, etc, etc.
I admit that I haven't seen a lot of John Noble's work, but from what I have seen, Walter Bishop is by far his best work.
I heard of Elementary, but didn't watch it.
Is it worth me taking a gander???
If I can find it for free on AP or NF.
