Let's celebrate the Lit Deplorables who ran away

One thing to remember about this site and all others that are open to public viewing is that intelligence groups from multiple countries use monitoring software to record all posts as they are made. There really is no such thing as deleting posts, even if a poster edits their posts or is banned. I learned that Lit's PB is monitored by federal law enforcement with this software. All posts are stored in a data base and can be accessed whenever an investigation takes place.

The implication on law enforcement investigations is that AI will be able to flag site users who may be planning or prone to violence and investigate potential motives and collaborators after a crime is committed.

The implications for foreign intelligence agencies is that assessing vulnerabilities for disinformation campaigns and identification of assets (people) for these campaigns is possible in real time.

Most site owners eventually enforce posting guidelines to discourage online discussions about illegal activities. This helps to avoid time- and reputation-costly interactions with law enforcement officials.

Good post (Coati) above: The problem as I see over and over again, is there are a LOT of people who are gullible enough to believe the disinformation campaigns, and even more people who are eager to spread the disinformation, even knowing it for what it is.

I see this over and over again on this forum. We have, in the past, had certain users who have shown a propensity for violent action. These are the guys- Botany Boy and the T and T guy are two prominant examples- who invariably get banned, in some cases multiple times. Then piss and moan about how their "Freedom of Speech" has been violated (while ironically cheering when other people's freedoms are taken away by government or supreme court actions.)

The absolute king of meltdowns was "Karen Kraft". Anytime someone accused him of being a guy (which he actually was), he'd bump two dozen random ancient threads. He was directly responsible for the change in the TOS about randomly bumping ancient threads.

.....which of course gave new meaning to AJ's existence. He became the self-appointed board hall monitor, the first one we've had since Que passed away. AJ would make some claim that was the exact opposite of something he'd said years ago.


You could bump the thread to prove how Situational Red Man Speaks With Forked Tongue and he'd immediately report you for TOS violations.

I used to think that a violent political post had to be "quoted for posterity" to preserve it before a deletion took place. After discussing this belief with a cyber security expert, I learned that there is a digital trail for every entry, even the edits and "deletions".

To make it faster and easier to track all original entries, private and governmental intelligence groups collect and store entries in real time so they don't have to request access to a server. This especially applies to forums that have been reported for content promoting illegal activity.

Amicus was crazy and smart and was a staunch right wing conservative here. I recall stella_omega once saying she somehow recognized him on another political board where he was posting as a far left winger.

And JBJ was an old curmudgeon but he he came out with some pretty funny posts

Yessss. I think she craved attention more than anything else.
I was neutral towards her for the most part, although I applauded her savaging Karen Kraft after Karen was found out to have a penis.

I honestly thought she was a guy posing as a woman when I first got here because she'd complain loud and often if she didn't have sex at least every other day.

She thought she was funny, that people were laughing with her.

This I don't understand, to me it shouldn't matter how old a thread is, it is a forum after all. If the owners didn't want a thread bumped then lock the thread. Why punish users of the site??? Makes no fucking sense.

Okay, I am trying to get on the list, it's what I live for.
