As a rule, investigations of most criminal activities aren't finished in a hour time frame as routinely portrayed on television. They take time. A long time. Sometimes years. All the bits and pieces have to be gathered before the indictment is revealed and the criminal brought to justice.

That is the nightmare scenario the con artist faces as it is revealed James Comey has set up a headquarters task force to coordinate the work of at least three field offices to find the facts. Despite his numerous attempts to call all the investigations into his collusion with Russia during the campaign "fake", the con artist is up against the unrelenting, dogged determination of the FBI who will not let any stone go unturned.

The Steele dossier, made more credible by the recent confirmation of at least one salient fact, has a plethora of scenarios to be investigated. The FBI, having begun its investigation into collusion last July, has many more avenues to pursue. Even the Senate investigative committee is exploring the coordinated collusion of the con artist and Russia through numerous intelligence agency reports. Obviously the House Intelligence committee won't be involved in any of this, but that was a given considering Devin Nunes' close, personal ties to the con artist.

The con artist can keep crying "fake" every time facts are presented regarding his collusion, but words have no meaning against the wall of facts which is slowly, but inexorably, being built. Unlike his wall along our southern border.

Did it ever occur to you Trump may be innocent of any wrong-doing? The whole thing may be smoke but no fire, generated by bogus news organizations such as Slate, et al. So far, nothing has been proven and there have not even been any formal accusations.

The only way to know either way is to investigate.

And it's a bit more than Slate. The FBI isn't small potatoes.

Ummm, no. He's settled out of court with big payoffs too often even before coming close to running for president not to mention stepped on his own tongue on camera concerning having done wrong to be innocent of any wrong doing. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people as gullible and clueless as you are.

As a businessman, Trump was quite litigious, but that has nothing to do with what is happening now. Even after months of investigation, by the FBI and others, there is no real evidence against him for any kind of wrong doing during the recent election.

I hope I'm not so gullible or clueless as to believe in guilt when there is no proof of it.

At least you're consistent in being despicably full of crap, Box.

But why would you have seen any? You don't see anything in any investigation until the damn trial. The FBI is under no requirements while they investigate. So saying you "haven't seen proof yet" is simply stupid. The FBI is coconductig it's work. They don't owe you anything.

You have to forgive the uneducated. They don't realize that what one sees on television crime shows isn't how it's done in real life. There are no grandiose segways from one piece of evidence to the next, no groups of people chatting openly in hallways for everyone to hear.

Real investigations are done behind closed doors with no word of what is going on to prevent jeopardizing the investigation itself. Once all the evidence has been gathered, only then is announcement made.

This investigation has been going on for eight or nine months with no results or, at least, none made public. Considering the level of the man being investigated, something would have become public by now, if there really is something.

As for how long an investigation takes, that varies from minutes to decades.
