I'd prefer Carrier use their own money to make upgrades in their facilities instead of using tax payer money.

It IS their own money. It's money that they DIDN'T have to pay to the government.

The net gain is only Carrier's and NOT the communities where people were employed by Carrier.

Wrong. If the money stays with Carrier in that location it gets spread around by the people who work for Carrier since Carrier now pays locals to work for the company, do improvements to the local factory, procure services from the local community, etc.

They are still shipping the jobs to Mexico and eliminating other jobs.

Some but not all. Look if this deal wasn't done ALL the jobs would have been gone, the factory shuttered and all the support jobs that may have depended on Carrier would have gone away.

Look at the history of the Auto industry in Detroit as a perfect example.

Many Americans are losing work as Carrier gains MORE money by reducing its own capital investment.

Seems that they ARE investing the money in technical/capital improvements in order to stay competitive. If that translates into a better profit margin then so be it. Carrier/UT isn't in business to be a charity.

The owners/investors in Carrier don't give a fuck about upper management employees either. Carrier doesn't owe the employees anything other than to pay them for their time (as long as the employee is productive).

Absolutely. Abolish the Department of Education take those savings lower taxes so that parents have more to voluntarily donate to their schools as they see fit.

Encourage right to work laws in States. Forbid tenured teacher requirements in collective bargaining agreements

That should do it.

That will give us schools populated with nothing but jocks and cheerleaders. We'll win more Olympic medals, I guess.
