I recently wrote to a friend here that this song always reminds me of the girl I took to prom. We only had two dates. The first one was a blind date (hey, I just remembered that! My friends set us up) at a dance and we danced to this, probably the first time we danced together.

I can still picture her singing the words, "She's a very kinky girl, the kind you don't take home to mother."

And thinking...THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!

Turns out...she wasn't kinky at all...
And my mother already knew her...her mom and my mom were old friends and in fact her and I had probably played together as infants...

Yeah...prom wasn't that much fun...I should have drank more...
