World population reaches 7 billion, liberals mostly silent

According to the UN, Earth's human population has now officially exceeded 7 billion:

When did the liberal stop being concerned about out of control human population increase? Back in the 60s and 70s, they (rightly IMO) claimed this was the great threat to the future of the planet. Now, all they talk about is global warming and rarely even mention the population explosion issue. Its like they no longer seem to care (if they ever really did).

Does anyone else find the liberal's silence on this issue, an issue they used to consider one of the gravest issues of all, a bit curious? Any thoughts as to what's up with that?
 
Perhaps they are afraid of being called "racist" to talk about it since nearly all population growth is from non-European racial groups. Yet, there is no way the third world can overcome poverty with so many children. :confused:

And don't even talk about abortion. Birth rates in countries with legal abortion are roughly equal to those in countries where its illegal. Most people choose to have children. Its a non-issue in relation to population growth.
 
So, what the fuck do you suggest the 'liberals' to do about this problem?

I heard somewhere that even tho the world pop has reached 7 billion, the actual daily birth rate has decreased by approx a quarter... meaning that the growth of world pop is slowing quite a bit.
Haven't checked to see if that's true (before you all yell at me!) but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

No one is yelling at you dear. You are correct. The world's 7 billionth baby (more or less) has been born. Even the experts are saying this is a guestimate.
