Purpose of the OOC​

The OOC has several purposes ... and some limitations, too.

1. Organization of Information: I will be organizing some information so that writers can easily find facts later for their posts. There's nothing worse than wanting to add a "fact" from a previous post in a future post and not remembering what it was that you -- or another writer -- wrote earlier. All writers are asked to create a "Profile and History" page for their character(s) and update it frequently. (Feel free to use Monty's Profile Page as an example.)

2. Writer Discussion: If you have something you want to discuss -- a question, comment, or concern -- with the other writers, feel free to use this OOC for that purpose. HOWEVER ... please don't use it for idle chit chat with another writer; save chit chat for PMs. (Every time you post here, those writers with Instant Notification get an email, and it can be frustrating to go to your email only to find that someone posted "Yes!" to some question that has nothing to do with the story line.

3. Facts and Information: I will post such things as the season of the year, day and date, weather, yadda yadda, when I think they are needed for continuity between characters. A good for instance here is that the current time of the RP is early fall -- real time, let's say for now; there are crops in the field and it is still hot and sunny, which means summer or early fall. We don't want one writer talking about Hallowe'en and another talking about Christmas, now do we?

4. And whatever else comes up!

Please follow these instructions, and each of our Character Profile Pages will be very similar, making them easy to peruse and use in the future:

1. Use the "Reply with Quote" link at the bottom. This will keep all of the bold and italics in your reply.

2. Keep your answers short and sweet until you get to the last question.

3. Please include a photo for your character, for a bit of realism.

4. When you post details about your characters, please come back here and add them; include NEW and the date in red so people will know something new has been added. It is not necessary to update EVERY little detail; but if you put something in there that could be important for other writers -- or even yourself -- to remember for future posts, please post it.

5. Delete everything above the line of plus signs (++++) as well as everything in italics before you post your profile.

-- Wealthy man: turned a big trust fund into a huge fortune.
-- Has never known poverty. On the other hand, his father made him labor in the family businesses, so he knows hard work.
-- Owns a huge condo in The City, as well as The Estate in the story.
-- Quite a history of lovers, travel, business and pleasure adventures.
-- When you have money, there is little you haven't tried at least once!​

-- He and Evangeline are "convenience" lovers, coming together when one or the other has an itch to be scratched.

I'm working on my reply now but was wondering what the options were for the mother?
Because she hasn't been mentioned I assumed maybe she had passed away when the girls were young, which has made Jack's character so protective and motherly. Their father was left to raise the three of them alone, which is why they ended up stuck?

I don't know just some thoughts. I'll have my character profile and a reply posted late afternoon when I have time to write more.

Yes, she has passed away. It is mentioned in Pete's first posting, 4th paragraph. I considered having her available for even more scandalous sexual interactions, but I wanted the Farmer's life to be hard and this does that.

And for all of you, I like the story thus far. Good writing, good ideas, good collaborations. I'm enjoying this!

Peter "Pete" Townsend​

DESCRIPTION AND PIC:

5'8", 195#; a laborer's physique (strong, fit, but not sculpted like Monty).
Hazel eyes.
Usually wears a couple days growth on his face; only shaves when he needs to do so.​


BACKGROUND:

-- Farm boy; his farm has been in the family for 8 generations.
-- He is definitely a Local Yokel; he has never traveled farther than the State Fair.
-- He isn't ignorant; if he's not in the fields or barns working, he's reading in his rocker or bed, or discussing issues with the townsfolk at the local cafe or barber shop.
-- He lost his wife, Melanie, 6 years before the beginning of the RP. She died suddenly, complications of a flu bug. It was tragic to him and the girls and -- combined with the subsequent "Great Recession" -- was the beginning of the family's economic collapse.
-- His has been hiding the truly dire condition of the family's economic condition from the girls. Secretly, he has spent almost all of Emily's College Fund; and he has agreed to sell 8 of the farm's most fertile acres after the fall harvest to prevent a foreclosure of the entire farm.​


KNOWN SEXUAL HISTORY:

His girls think he has been "doing without" since their mother's death.​


OTHER SEXUAL INFORMATION:

-- In reality, he occasionally sees a local widow sometimes, but only when he knows that all three girls are away from town; he's only seen here ten or eleven times during the past four years.
-- He greatly misses sex and intimacy, but he spends his energies on keeping the farm going and feeding his girls.​
-- He has been known to "spy" on his girls -- or, more specifically, their sexy friends -- when they come to visit; one example is his occasional tree trimming that preserves a view of the swimming hole and sun bathing deck from the attic window.

-Her sisters know she has never been with a man, and that she's only been kissed once.
-Though he can sense a bit, Monty has no idea how innocent she is.

-Emily is a virgin, but upon learning Monty's intentions, she wants to seduce him and be like her older sisters in order to help the family farm.

-Emily is very childlike in many ways. Her sisters and father have kept her sheltered. All she knows of life outside of her small town is what she's seen on tv. She thinks Monty could show her what life's all about.
-She is very naive, doesn't read into people too much. She takes them for what they seem, not thinking people would intentionally harm her.

FYI. I am on the West Coast of US, so it's not even 6pm here. I usually check posts before work, about 6am my time, and sometimes I can post at lunch, which is usually in the afternoon (1i3). But most of my RPing is at night or weekends.

Tonight, I won't be back on until about 7pm my time.

If the two of u could tell me the same (if u don't mind) just so we all know when the others are available. Don't be any more explanatory than u want to!!

I am on the East Coast, so it's 9 PM here now. My posting will be after 6 PM until a varying hour, depending on when I get to sleep.

Weekends my posts will be sporadic. I will post at least daily, depending on my schedule a few times daily.
 
I'm with Lonely, on this one. I try to post daily, but weekends are hard as that's when I usually like to get my work done and I'm doing things throughout the day. Still, i manage to sneak in a post here and there. :3

I would love for someone else to write Blair. I anticipate she might be Monty's first lover, since I've pretty much laid out that she was flaunting herself to him and is already promiscuous, and I really don't want to write both sides of that scene!! :D

Perfect, we have a Blair. I really wasn't "man" enough to write her anyway. :D

On the topic of new characters, if anyone has an idea of one they want to create, either post the idea here or PM me or what ever. We don't want to overwhelm the storyline, of course, but the nice thing about extra characters is that they give you someone to write for when you're waiting for a collaborator to reply to your other character(s) last posts.

BTW, I have another family function tonight, so I will be getting off line in about 40 minutes. If anyone is currently writing a post, will they tell me for which character? I don't want to write a reply and stomp on your toes.

FYI: I didn't realize that I missed some posted profiles. I have just posted links to them on the first page of the OOC; sorry it took so long.

We have all of the major players now, woohoo. (Lonely said she was going to writer Blair, which I hope is still going to happen; that fills the bill.)

Still, if you have a character you wish to add, feel free to suggest it. Sometimes it's nice to have an extra body to write about, that way if you are waiting for your collaborator to post, you have someone else to write.
 
Heads up: I'm planning on writing in Blair tonight hopefully. I was thinking of making her more of the "middle man" between Jack and Emmy, despite being the oldest. Though she still obviously looks out for Emmy, she's less protective than Jack and wants Emmy to experience things for herself. They aren't as close as Emmy and Jack however, but that's because Blair's always out with different guys.

If you have anything else in mind for the direction of Blair's character please let me know! :)
