That the real motivation behind the "spousal rape" absurdity. If a "marriage" is not implicit consent to make love to one's spouse, then what possibly is it? Just an economic agreement to share expenses? The government can have it, then, as far as I'm concerned.

If a man forces his wife to have sex when she doesn't want to then it's rape. Being married to someone doesn't mean they have to have sex with you every time you want it.

Spousal rape is rarely reported and almost never prosecuted precisely because of people's attitudes of marriage giving "implied consent". The woman in the story was repeatedly assaulted by her husband, and the last time he attacked her, it included rape. If she hadn't caught the assault on tape, nothing may have been done in her case either.

Your comment about written consent is ridiculous.

If a man wants to get married to just to have sex with a certain women then no he shouldn't get married. Marriage is not just about sex. It's about loving and sharing your life with someone else. It's about compromise and sacrifice. If a man thinks that his wife is your own personal sex toy and is suppose have sex with him when he wants then he is a sad excuse for a man.

If it was consensual, there wouldn't be an issue. But the fact is, when a man forces a woman to have sex with her (whether it's his girlfriend, wife, classmate or a stranger), it is rape. Doesn't matter what their prior relationship is. Any man who truly loved a woman would understand she's not in the mood.

What next, you're going to question the validity of date rape? Because a guy coughed up $20 for dinner, a woman owes her body?

It was called "withholding the marital privilege" Most states now are "no fault" divorce states, which means you don't even need to give a reason to divorce. Those that do require a reason allow "irreconcilable differences" which pretty much covers everything, including not getting any.
