Ladies of Lit, we really need your advice and opinions on this one!

My GF heard about anal bleaching and wants to have hers done. She is obsessed with anal sex and says a pink rosebud is sexier than a brown pucker. I have told her that her anus is perfect for me but she still wants to have it done.

If any of you have had this done, or know how it's done, please give us the details. Is it painful? Dangerous? Who does it and is it permanent? What about the cost?

I have no idea if it could do harm. That area is very sensitive with most people. It's the first time I hear of this and all I can think of is how Michael Jackson (don't know about his ass of course :rolleyes: ) turned out.

There have been plenty of threads on this, and it seems like the consensus is something along the lines of, 'I'm not stupid or vain enough to have my asshole bleached.'

I'm sorry, but maybe your gf's money would be better spent on therapy for her self-esteem/image issues.

This is all based on the artificial belief that brown means dirty. It's purely psychological. Forget about anal bleaching. Tell her to just go get a tan so the rest of her skin matches the alluring darkness of her anus. ;)

Are they available in shops or can you get them mail order?
 
I've used the Revlon "Anal Flair" products and they work much better than crude bleaching that is often used.

If you go with the "Anal Flair" product pick something fun, maybe Hidden Honey or White Minx. Experiment a bit. Everyone's skin will react differently so go with what works best on your particular skin tone.

Actually I'm not so quick to just dismiss her as shallow or stupid. Poor body image is a common thing, and as I said, the normal reaction to the dark color of the anus is that it's dirty because it's dark. It doesn't seem out of whack that someone with an anal fetish who thinks this way, might be interested in anal bleaching. It's not all that much stranger than a woman wanting a breast augmentation, just a different focus.

Not that I'd ever have my ass bleached, nor do I agree or think it has anything to do with appealing appearance. I would counsel her to not worry about it, because if nothing else, it's a total waste of money. :rolleyes:
 
It isn't necessarily that she thinks it looks bad brown, just that she would prefer it to look pink.

Just as you might not think your hair looks bad brown, but you'd like it better if it were red.

Personally, I would never have mine bleached. It's fine just the way it is. Talk to her and tell her there's no need to waste the money and that it's fine the way it is.

I'm with ya on this one, sister! I would not in a million years go to my doctor and tell him my asshole was too dark..I'm sorry, I think my doctor needs to know a lot of things about me...but that I think my asshole is too dark (for god only knows what reason)...I'm sorry, he just doesn't need to know that!

I would reccomend talking to her doctor and getting a reccomendation on what to do, or rather how. Personaly I won't do anal because of what else you do there, big huge ICK factor, if she wants to do that to help her enjoy it, do it.

I know, really weird and kinda senseless, but whatever it takes to enjoy I say do it and not ask why. ;)

We both found it interesting that not one woman replied and said that she had had it done? I'm sorry if you thought my posts before were sarcastic. I was saying what I thought and just wanted to humor it up a bit.

Also, I think you could be mistaking why noone responded saying that they had their anus bleached. I think it could be that this is not as popular of a procedure as you're thinking. I mean, I'm sure you've seen some of the things people talk about on here. I don't think someone who was brave (and I'm using that term loosely) enough to go and have their anus bleached would be shy about telling you here, where you're pretty much anonymous.

I don't think it has to do with embarassment either -- even when there have been private polls done here, I have never seen anyone vote they have, or would consider having, it done.

Personally, I don't look at my asshole, and seriously doubt my partners take note of the color during sex. At least people can see breast implants, and that type of procedure can help clothes fit better and such, but I can't imagine paying for something that won't improve the function on a part even I never see. :confused:
