With reports that a new draft of the screenplay is due soon, the latest casting rumors have boiled down to a single candidate:

Yes, in a world gone mad, Kutcher moves from Dude, Where's My Car? to playing the Dark Knight. But as he is basically attaching himself to every project in Hollywood right now, when approached about Batman, he quietly attached himself to that, too. Yes, this might change, but at present, he's the man in the cowl.

Okay, after they cast George Clooney, I thought the only way to surprise me would be to cast a woman as Batman. After all Ashton Kutcher does have muscles. And isn't a bad actor. Just because he did a movie named "Dude, Where's My Car?" doesn't mean anything.

Then I realized how young he is. Shouldn't Batman be at least, like 25? Oh god, let it be a prequel.

Not like the last two Batmans didn't suck ass anyway.

While I think she'd look great in the outfit, I just don't see it. Maybe after I see her in the Charlie's Angels movie. Supposedly she's and ex-angel and kicks much ass.

Seeing as how Ashton and Demi are doing the horizontal bop in reality...IF he gets the roll, he may insist on it.
 
With a lot of training, good costume design and extensive coaching, he could pull off the role of Batman.

Bruce Wayne, on the other hand? Not for another ten, maybe fifteen years. That will be the time he'll need to refine his current resume of well-known acting gigs (the image will follow him around no matter what he does otherwise, ala Jim Carrey). Time has the added bonus of giving him age and experience that the character of Bruce Wayne has in spades.

No, this just makes me shake my head.
 
Rumor has it the new movie is to be based on "year one" from the comics aka how batman got started so I could maybe see it working but it'd be a real surprise. After Schumacher's last two craptacular (batman now with rubber nipples) movies I'd hope they wouldn't do something like this though. I still say the animated series of the 90s was the best portrayal of batman.
 
I though that Batman Forever was pretty good. Not as dark as Batman should be, but, still a lott afun. Batman & Robin just sucked ass,(though Alicia Silverstone in rubber was really nice.:devil:
 
I dunno, I've seen AK interviewed and although he was in that dopey movie, and has played a dopey character on a (brilliant) tv show, that doesn't mean that he's stupid. He seems an ok choice to me. I mean, why not?

the last one was fucking awful...it was like batman on ice or something...the action scenes looked like the dancing sequences from grease...it so fucking homo-erotic it turned my little brother gay in two screenings...schumacker needs to be shot fucking dead for making that movie
 
Michael Keaton was the best Batman. He has the darkness for the role.
 
i've read somewhere that Robbie Williams is either on the list for Batman oder Spider Man. Can't remember now, but it seems a trifle absurd.
