Characters

Location of the RP:

We are using Santa Barbara Island as our primary location:
However, in our RP, it was a privately owned island, not part of the Channel Island's National Park.
The Colony's buildings consist of:
- The House: the largest building on the island and the original home of the island's first residents. It is the heart of the Colony, providing the Community Kitchen, the Infirmary, the Indoor School, the Library, and so much more.
- Matriarch Carla Deering's Home: located west of the House. (Who else might live there is yet to be determined by Carla's writer, AmyRoberts.)
- The Greenhouse: the building west of Carla's home.
- The Blue and Green Storage Sheds: for these, you must use your imagination. What appears to be 2 clusters of tables (see this link) are actually 2 buildings used for storage and projects. The more northern of the two is painted blue and, thus, called the Blue Shed. You can figure out the other one, right?
- Resident Huts: Again using your imagination, 6 picnic tables (link) are actually small, 2 room huts.
- Cave Canyon Work Shop and the Cave Canyon Lookout Hut: these are the 2 picnic tables to the south of the Resident Huts.
- Garden Harvest Shop and Garden Tool Shed: these are the two picnic tables west of the Resident Huts, with the large, barren open area actually being the net-covered South Garden.
To the north of the above buildings, set apart on Landing Cove, is the Crane House and Landing Dock.

Date of the RP's start: March 1st, Year 1. (The actual year is irrelevant.)

Physical Description:

Pre-"Dead Rising" History:

Grew up on a ranch in Bend (Central Oregon).
Joined the US Army at 18 as an infantryman.
His family died off all within 5 years ():
- His parents to a house fire. They died of the smoke without the flames ever getting to them.
- His younger brother to a drug overdose just a year before that.
- And his elder sister to an auto accident two years later.
He chose to remain in the US Army.
He attended Officer's Candidate School after rising through the enlisted ranks for 8 years.
He had transitioned to the Reserves just 2 years before Dead Rising.
As the most senior surviving officer on his base, he took command of the Company.
By this point, he'd been in the Service for 27 years.

Post-"Dead Rising" History:

Year 1, March 1st: He led his Company to Santa Barbara Island after the Base was overrun by Dead.
