You know, the kind you would need in order to vote.
Many liberals argue that getting legitimate identification is just too much of a burden in the course of day to day life, especially for minorities, seemingly hinting that such a task might be beyond their skill set or that they live in areas where 'lectricity and other modern conveniences haven't yet made an appearance.
I'm sure it makes you feel warm all over knowing that Mr. Schumer in real life and Kirkrapine and a host of others here on Lit are protecting you, patting you on the head and promising to protect you from those who believe you are capable of participating in adult activities.

Apparently all of them by the way they bellow about it.....

Also somehow being white makes filling out the same paperwork and standing in the same lines just infinitely easier.

On the one hand; supposedly there are people in NYC who go their entire lives without needing or getting any sort of ID.

On the other hand; the rest of the world ain't NYC.

This is the conundrum of voter ID.

If you ask some of them, like SGT spidy, nobody needs any ID for anything and that's why voter ID is racist.

It DOES!

Don't you know that standing in line while being white makes the average DMV employee work faster? And that your anonymous mail-in ballot is worth 1.43 votes for every GOP candidate? Even if you didn't vote for any of them? Or even mail in your ballot?

Yeuuuup......the world revolves around skin color.

USA is the most racist ever because so much whiteness.

What accepted method of ID is free? If none, which is cheapest and what is the cost?

Finally, a thread where all the (R)acists can spew their same old tired lines. It's been so long...lol

No, the conundrum is: Why does anybody care? We all know that voter fraud in the form of impersonation is a nonproblem.

Tell it to all those guys in Texas who just got busted for it. I'm sure after they tell the judge you said it's a "non problem" they'll be let go with an apology.

RIGHT!

Are you saying that, despite the time and effort by state employees that is involved, driving licenses and state ID cards should be free?

Yes, they should. They are already subsidized with taxes, vehicle registration, and fees.

Are you saying that, despite the time and effort by state employees that is involved, driving licenses and state ID cards should be free?

Yeah, I think everyone has been pretty clear on that.

I could see charging for a license but not the fifty or sixty dollars they charged me like come the fuck on. We all agree that's ridiculous, right? Not to be the old man yelling at clouds but when I started driving that shit was $20.

Plus they're killing these kids with their fucking money game. When my brother got his license, you gotta buy the permit, then, for some fucking reason, you gotta buy this whole kit that takes six months out of your life where I, the adult, am supposed to chart his driving and send that in- this is a new thing and they charge for it too. It's a money game. Then you gotta pay for the test to get the license, every time even if you fail, THEN you gotta pay for the actual license.

When I was a kid, you paid for the permit, then you paid for the license. That was it. And I think they were each $20. This shit is ridiculous.

I'm saying that the 24th Amendment to the United States Constitution makes charging to vote illegal.

LOL, what's racist about pointing out what liberals have been hinting at for years, LOL?
LOL.
Got an answer?
LOL.

Your whole triggered rant is racist, you dipshit. I know, I know, how dare those poor brown and black people question decisions made rich people. They need to stay in their lane and shut up, right?

Is there an unequivocal standard in the United States what is and is not a valid identification?

Many states have an ID card which is sold by the Department of Motor Vehicles for people that don't drive. The ID is an Official ID. It costs $30 dollars in CA and $12 in AZ. A voter's registration card is free, but you can't get it without an official ID.

No, each state gets to set its own standards there. That's one of many little inconveniences implicit in a federal system.

I've never understood how any adult can get through most days without one.

This is an issue that make no sense to me.
