...one must study all its aspects."

Imagine you had access to an omniscient being who would answer for you three questions. These answers could not then be used for any material benefit, but only to help satiate your desire to understand the world. What would you ask of this being?

Some to get us started.

1. How is it that something (the world/universe) exists rather than not exists?
2. What is the full solution to the Drake equation?
3. How does the human species end?

4. When will William come out of the closet. :)

5. Why did Chancellor_Palpatine feel it was necessary to post 108 times in 4 hours just to shed his William_James alt? :)

Why did you "Bend Down" to help man (redemption) yet you did not the Fallen Angels?

Who will be the two witness at the wall?

Did you restrict the Adam creation process to Earth only? (never was clear on this.)

The first two are fine but do you really want to know the answer to 3? That might be something you wish you hadn't asked.
Maybe the second also if the answer is 0.

For me:
1. Free will or fate?
2. Drake equation also. Just gotta know.
3. Why the Patriots? Just why?

1. When will the next event occur that threatens most or all of human life and what will it be?

2. What is the rarest element in the universe and does it exist on Earth?

3. If you know everything do you get bored?

I know. There are some 2 part questions up there. Sue me. Question #1 is probably just a rephrase of Chancellor_Palapatine's question #3 but I'd like to know when as well as how.

I'd hate to find out we're fated to everything we experience. That's fucked up.

I've got a fatalistic streak and am usually comfortable accepting ideas that make others uncomfortable. Ideas like the experience of will, or volition, is illusory, and the experience of consciousness is an epiphenomenon. It's implausible that humanity will survive forever, and I think knowing something about how it ends can tell us something about the place of intelligence in the universe.

Wow William. You're sure a complex being. One minute you're trolling posters with gay slurs and the next, pondering the meaning of life.

These seem probably, but not definitively, true. Daniel Dennett wrote a very interesting argument for Free Will a few years back. And consciousness is an absolute labyrinth of science and philosophy.

I suspect there are strong merits to deflationary accounts of consciousness, as Dennett's appears to be. But it's still unsatisfying. The intuition is experience in itself is somehow distinct from other material or activity, and I have a hard time justifying to myself that it should be otherwise. But I do have an appreciation for the compatiblist account of free will, going all the way back to James.

Sorry to break it to you this way George, but you will eventually die and on your death bed, you will be no closer to the truth than the second you were born. Everything else is just blah, blah, blah. (mental masturbation) :)

...one must study all its aspects."

Including but not limited to; surely not limited to.

1. How is it that something (the world/universe) exists rather than not exists?

This must've been out of ur ass.

3. How does the human species end?

If we are able to survive far outside our place of birth, then we will most likely not end.

The Earth, though, will burn, apparently.

For me:
1. Free will or fate?

Both.

1) Will we be able to step down through a series of multiverses (possibly at the beginning to shape/design them) for real eternity and thereby escape before each one crunches or dissipates?

wo wo woo... holy guacamole.

2) Why did you endow (some of us) with an appetite for wonder and knowledge that could hardly be satiated by a million years of exploration, yet condemn us to less than a hundred years of life?

Progress through sadism.

3) Are we real (base level reality) or a simulation?

Quite real.

Knowing such a being actually existed would be answer enough for me.

Golden answer.

1. Explain women to me or WTF is wrong with them?
2. Is Stargate real and if not, can we make it so ?
3. Can I have 3 more questions ?

I no longer strive to understand the great mystery, though it would be cool.
There's just that one thing..........I'm working on it.

Calling Dr. Strange!

Why did you "Bend Down" to help man (redemption) yet you did not the Fallen Angels?

Who will be the two witness at the wall?

Did you restrict the Adam creation process to Earth only? (never was clear on this.)

I like these.

You don't need an omniscient being to answer your questions, I can answer them for you.

1. I'll answer this question with one of my own. How is it others let you exist rather than not exist?
2. Who gives a fuck what the answer to some Conspiracy Theorist's equation is.
3. Are you blind? Take a look around you. The human species dies by it's own hands.

What does an omniscient, infinite being not have?

“He” doesn’t have finite matter. That’s what we and what all the matter in the world have. We were created in “his” image, we complete “him”.

Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment was proven by the boson, and taken further. Not only can something exist and not exist at the same time, it also has two states of existence. To observe the bison we have to stop it’s perpetual movement.

Now, go read Berkeley’s Idealism philosophy.

When people decided to dig up the Underworld, set fire to it and send the fumes to Heaven, why didn't God stop them?

Why do human insist in believing in things that do not exist?

Why do human insist in denying in things that do exist?

Why is pistachio ice cream so damn delicious?

How do you prove Self & Other Minds exist? How do explain Free Will?
If you can answer these questions with logic and not beliefs, then you have an argument for the non-existence of “God”. Unfortunately, for those who don’t believe in “God”, no Empiricists have come up with a non-fallacy logical argument that proves “God” isn’t real. They either have to deny the existence of Self, Other Minds, and Free Will or take leaps of faith.

The conceit of Man, empirical evidence collected to disprove “God”, has only proven “his” infinite unquantifiable existence. In the end the belief in ”his” non-existsnce requires more leaps of faith than just believing in “God”.

1. As far as I am aware, there are no people with sinister designs on my life.

2. Conspiracy theorist's equation? WTF?

3. Possibly so, but not necessarily so.

Why is there never a supreme being around when you need them?
