This shows you why we have so much dry timber and underbrush as well. This is called Lake Kachess (we usually call it Stump Lake) because in the summer time you could usually see stumps appearing in the shallow end when the lake was drawn down for irrigation. This year there's hardly any water left in the reservoir, an indication as to how much below normal out snow pack and precipitation have been. I know most of the Washington Peeps know that...but for other friends who follow the thread, this is a real good visual with the low water and the smoke from the fires. Hope all are safe!
