Antique Words for Cum

I have a question about old school terminology.

I'm writing a steampunk erotic paranormal romance series, and I need other words for cum that sound more Victorian.

Was cum even a word back then? What would they have used, seed? But then, that doesn't work for my female character.

Thanks in advance.

It's been decades since I read any of it, but a book called "The pearl" should also have what you need. I think it was a compilation of stories from a porno magazine of the same name published in the 19th century.

I read it, or parts, back in the seventies, but it's now available in Kindle as well, and maybe other ereader formats too. Possibly even on Project Gutenberg.

The words "seed" and "spend" for ejaculate come to mind. (Pun intended.)

Orgasm was called the "little death."

"Arriving" and "finishing" should work in certain contexts. Mind, I don't think you can write dialogue like "I'm going to finish!" or "I've arrived!" without getting laughed at. But there's a scene in the movie Plunkett & MacLeane where a group of aristocrats watch two people go at it, and they all take bets on who's going to come first. One of them bets that "they'll arrive together."

Also worth pointing out: The good old Marquis de Sade was an early proponent of facials. He'd say that he'd "squirt my fuck on her face."

'Cum' itself is very late twentieth century, possibly post 2000 in its current popular usage. Check dictionaries (I'm relying on memory here, an unreliable tool at the best of times).

'Come' was more common (certainly in Australia) well into the 1990s, both for the act and the result.

e.g.:"I'm coming."

"Come on my breasts, you naughty boy..."

She came, moaning his name over and over.

Victorian era = 'spend'. 'Cum' would not have been used at all, probably not 'come,' either.

The terminology was ejaculate and ejaculation as nouns.

The verb for the action is to ejaculate; what is produced is ejaculate as a noun.

"Ejaculate" hasn't always had a sexual connotation. It used to mean any form of spurting or blurting something out of something, including speech. I'll never forget laughing my head off when one of the Three Stooges said, "You just ejaculated a mouthful!"

And probably was fully aware of the double meaning when he said it. :D

Most sexual words have other vanilla meanings. Double-entendre has a long history.

"Jism" is a word I like. It means "semen" and apparently comes from the mid 19th century.
