The Syrian airfield at Shayrat was struck with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles on April 6th after Syrian regime forces used Sarin gas against civilians in the town of Homs. Today that airfield is back in operation and portions of the damaged area have been repaired.

Last month defense officials said they never intended to make the base inoperable.

"The con artist, er, president, wanted to see some pretty explosions and thought it would be cool to show what he could have ordered be done. We would have expected them to return to that military base. It only cost us $60 million, not including fuel costs, so it was a pretty good fireworks show."

For his part the con artist, still in Israel after visiting the Middle East on his first foreign trip, said through his spokesperson, "Syria is not our problem. There is no upside and tremendous downside. We should stay out of Syria."
