It pitted a 33-year-old former journalist who began her physical gender transition four years ago against a 13-term incumbent who called himself Virginia’s “chief homophobe” and earlier this year introduced a “bathroom bill” that died in committee.

So your cheering on about a guy who is using pills and science to be a woman and hating on a person who you call a homophobia... that's the lead in right?

How does this make one person a better fit for office over the other, wheres the facts , voting records, whats their platform are they protectors of individual rights or do they believe in bigger government and social engineering that taxes you poor leaves you without any freedoms?

Seems a big part of how she got elected was that she focused on practical issues that mattered to local people, while her opponent was too busy being a transphobic asshole to pay attention to the needs of the people he was supposed to represent.
