I posted the following on Mara's thread in support for her. As this articulates some of my thoughts about the Lit AmPics community, I decided to repost it here on my own thread.

Not me. I do not see the Lit forums, especially the AmPics forum, that way. I consider us a community of people, making friends, being neighborly. We help each other, support each other, through the good times and the not-so-good times. We can share our personal feelings and things do spill over from real life into our world of escape.

It enhances the experience for all of us to know that each of us is a real person with feelings, desires, expectations, and sometimes problems and needs. Taking an active role as a member of the community, being neighborly, supporting each other, makes it better for all of us.

Yesterday I changed my Sig Line to include a definition for "Inspiration", and a self given definition for my username "Inspirinious".

You may ask "Why the fascination with Inspiration?"

Some years ago I was taking some not-for-credit photography classes at the local university. One instructor in particular was fantastic. She taught how to take photos without flash, using natural light wherever possible. She spoke about photography as an art form and then each photographer needed inspiration to be creative and artistic. Her mantra was "Let the Light be your Inspiration." I love that phrase.

When I was trying to choose a username for Literotica, I wanted something related to photography and inspiration. I also wanted (needed) something unique, a word or name not found anywhere else on the Net. Obviously "Inspire" and "Inspiration" were not going to be unique.

I was attending a lecture that included some ancient Greek history and the speaker was talking about "old Greek" names such as Octavious, Cornelious, and Ignatious. He made a joke that any name could be made Greek-like by adding "ious" to the end.

What an inspiration!!!

Initial thoughts were "Inspiration" + "ious" could become "Inspirationious". But that was just too many letters, and too difficult to say.

So next idea was to contract "Inspiration" + "ious" into "Inspirinious". And my username was born.


There are times I need to come back to my roots. I need to remember that I am here as a photographer and I try to use inspiration in my work. I try to share or become inspiration to others. I like the sense of community here and I enjoy supporting others.

And I took pics in the red briefs. Sorry the poses are very similar.
