I’ve been told this works although not on my iPad.
Just right click with your mouse on the image, then click "Copy Image Address". Go make your post on Lit, instead of clicking the "Insert link" (the tiny button with the globe), you click on the "yellow image" button. When they ask you to enter the URL of your image, simply paste what you've copied and click "OK", then hit the submit button.

Click on the "Post Reply" button at the bottom of the thread. In the next screen, scroll halfway through the page and click on "Manage Attachments". Select a pic, upload, and done.
I think the easiest way is to create an imgur account and upload the photo there, then paste the “direct link” in your reply here.
