Well I will go with cheap and resourceful. Frugal people will consider the long term and will invest in something more costly if they see a long term benefit. Cheap are more focused on the now and immediate. I am cheap. I will buy the cheapest appliance even if its longevity is in question type thing.

Someone mentioned custom made. As a kid we had a lady down our street who was called Auntie Nellie. Not related to us. She was a corsetier. She worked at home for a company called Spirella. Her main job was a local agent and used to modify stock items to suit the figure in question. She also made specials to order. Took all measurements needed and made anything from scratch.

very true. I often tend to shy away from a lot of action/adventure. It tends to be solid protagonists and antagonists, hero versus villain, and I prefer a more grey, morally ambiguous, with more internal challenges. I do like quite a bit of scifi, especially the more dark and corrupt, sometimes I do enjoy cheesy erotica, usually from a female perspective, though usually I just go for really fucked up, or nonfiction related to really fucked up lol.
