Operation Love Yourself

More importantly is learning how to be nice without having expectations. Too often i sit there asking myself wtf is wrong w you? Most times...it is cause i did something but didnt get the response i thought i deserved. Best gifts are really free. Look at a child...did they just hug you cause they wanted something...or cause they understand love better than adults? Something about growing up fucks things. I dont want to grow up. I want my gifts to others to be free.

Saving this statement in my "things to ponder" file.

Love this thread tink.
Sorry I'm late to the party.

an·them
ˈanTHəm
noun
1.a rousing or uplifting song identified with a particular group, body, or cause.

What song do you listen to, or can you listen to that will be that for you?
All the better if it gets you to dance.

It doesn't have to be anyone else's version of an anthem, it just has to be yours.
(You don't have to share it if you don't want to but it might be wonderful to see everyone else's)

Mine.

This song cheers me up no matter what I'm thinking. It always gets me singing along.

Think about things that you like to do, that you get enjoyment out of and that fill your time with good.
Pick 1-3 and find a way to participate in them.

1, taking my dog for a walk in the park
2, going for a drive in the countryside
3, DIY.

I'm going to do all of those today.

Get some fresh air. At least 15 minutes.
Bonus points if it's in the sunshine or you get some exercise too.
If it's not nice where you are, open a window and get some fresh air circulating in your space.

I'll be getting the fresh air with two of the three things above.:rose:

I'm keeping up with the running. Ran for 35 mintues today and had a lovely long walk back with MF outside for over 2 hours.

*Keep up with the questions Tink, You're doing a great job and I'm enjoying answering them*

Task 4: Make fun a priority.

So many of us look forward to the time off the weekend affords us... and then fill it with chores/errands/must do items that do not bring us joy or relaxation.

Today, make time for some fun.
I don't care what it is, I don't care how much of it you get, but fun.
At least a little bit.
We all find different things to be fun, so I can't tell you exactly what that will be but I recommend thinking back to what you liked to do most before the world told you to fill every minute trying to make money or be responsible.

Fun.

Yeah. Find some.

The interesting thing here is that everyone's idea of fun is different...I get to go watch my son play lacrosse today...and that's fun for me. I get to be outside and be proud momma...that's fun for me.

:heart::heart:
Good!
That's why I didn't try to define it for anyone. Because what might be bliss for me would be hell for someone else and vice versa.

I've had fun today.
I liberated medichi and created something beautiful.

Task 5: Feel your feelings

Today is Mother's Day. For many people, it can be a complex and emotional day, good or bad.

Today's task sounds so easy and yet is so hard.

Today I want you to just feel your feelings without judging them.
Whatever they are, just feel them for what they are, a very valid part of you.

Hmmm.
I wanted to post on here about my feelings but I don't wish to be overly negative so please accept my apologies.

Task 6: A challenge

We all have things that we know we need to do for ourselves, that will make us feel better about ourselves. Whether it's a diet, a new haircut, a project, you instinctively know what it is when you read this, but it is something that is going to be HARD and that you know you need to do and really want to.
Today is a good day to identify that goal and write down why you want to achieve it and what you hope to get out of it.

And you can start reaching towards that goal if you want.

Then, think of one thing you like about you, no matter how small and write it down.

I have 2 hard things that I need to do, both can be achieved at the same time.
1, get out of the bedroom more often. I rarely leave the bedroom at the moment, it's answer place has everything I need but isn't helping with my healing.
2, sort my marriage or end it! Nuff said.

One thing I like about myself. Mmmm.
My eyes. I love my eyes.

This is such a great thread.

So, I recently had a full medical workup done, mostly as preventative maintenance rather than out of a specific concern. Turns out, I'm not as healthy as I would think I am, though it's certainly nothing immediately serious.

To that end, I'm cutting out sugar. Well, to the maximum extent possible. Meaning, no candy, frosting straight from the container, or eating fistfuls of brown sugar. It's probably been a long time coming and Lord knows I've tried before... .what can I say, sugar is basically legal crack.

There's that.....

What do I like about me? I can laugh at anything, and often do whether it's appropriate or not. I don't take 95% of things seriously because most things really don't matter that much in the grand scheme of things.

I need to eat. I haven't today, but I need to; I don't think any of the people in my life would appreciate me denying the simplest form of self-care; I don't want to disappoint them.

I also really need to start outlining my novel again; two weeks is enough time to just relax after finally finishing my BA. If I don't make it a habit to work on it a little each day, the idea will stay on my mental bookcase and never get done. I promised myself I'd finish it; its a story that needs to be told, and I really want to get it published.

I like how warm I am to the people I care about, how I can easily adopt a role that fits their needs. I like how much I'm capable of loving.
