If what Trump did was appropriate or legal, why did he feel the need to lie about it on multiple occasions?
If the reports about people close to Trump communicating with the Russians are true, what were they talking about and why did they make multiple attempts to hide or deny it?
Is there anything this man can do that Republicans won't forgive?

This is precisely the point I keep trying to make to my "colleagues" who faithfully keep emphasizing the President's innocence. Anyone who is stupid enough to attempt to assert the selective credibility of a liar (or impugn the lies of someone who is otherwise "credible") is certainly stupid enough to yet find a way down the road to blunder into criminal culpability of an obstruction of justice.
NO, the President has NOT committed an obstruction of justice.
NO, there is no current evidence that he colluded with the Russians against Hillary Clinton.
Neither of those present facts are sufficient to save his ass if he remains determined to keep hanging it out the window of this speeding train that he's riding.

I am not sure many disagree with this. I certainly do not. He is a fucking political idiot. He needs to understand he can still push his agenda while letting the professional politicians/lawyers/liars do their job and spin/sell it. If he does not he will end up being fucked by the sharks on something either real or perceived.
He will probably escape this episode. But what he does not get is that every single trap the politicians/lawyers/liars laid out for him, he stepped in.
Even if he never does anything legally wrong, He can not survive the lefts/press concentrated effort to destroy him at any cost.
He will have to play a perfect political game and he is certainly not capable.

I think it's possible that there's enough for obstruction of justice already depending on what DNI Coats said in closed sessions. Whether or not they do anything with it will likely depend on the strength of the evidence since there would need to be a major shift from enough of Trump's base to inspire the congressional Repubs to find their balls.
The other thing that stuck out to me from yesterday, though, was this exchange:
Could be nothing, could be in reference to an obstruction of justice case, but it could also leave the door open for something else. There is more to learn already, regardless of where Trump's ass is at any given moment (and I'd prefer not to know).

Your opinion that the exchange quoted above may mean an obstruction charge negates the obvious - that the D's are out for blood and will turn over every rock, spin what they find and FABRICATE something out of whole cloth in their zeal to destroy the USA under the guise of getting Trump out of office.
