The best news possible!!! Emmy has just messaged me and asked me to post her results. The Cancer has not spread. 2 of the 17 Lymph nodes were cancerous, and of course her entire left breast, especially in her nipple. They have told her she is between a stage 1 and stage 2 and they will be sending the lab results off to another Lab for further testing, but at this point, in 3 weeks she will have more testing done, and they will decide if she will need Chemo or Radiation.
She is feeling so very happy right now, and they are on the train for home. They did take out her drains which she said hurt like hell, but she is taking a pain pill and going home to sleep.
She wanted me to make sure to Thank each and every one of you. All these great thoughts have helped to keep her spirits up.
Thank you so much everyone!!! She is well loved!

Excellent plan, and wise to think ahead like that!Well since Ms Emmy is awake late (afternoon nap) she is sending me pics of the bandages removed and drains out. She is gushing about her happiness and is so happy with her new boobs.
As soon as dropbox updates, I will get them loaded. For anyone wanting to see them, again, she just prefers you message me for the links since she is worried about the lit gods not liking them.
I should also explain since several have asked. Her "after" shots. People are confused because they thought she wasn't getting both removed, and or that she wouldn't be able to do a reconstruction right away.
First. What you see in her pics is partially swelling, and partially what is called an extender. Our lovely Emmy is so skinny that they couldn't use skin from other parts of her body to do a reconstruction right away. So once she finds out if she will need chemo or not, they can decide when they will slowly start stretching the skin to give them room to eventually put the implants in. If she doesn't need Chemo/radiation, they can start fairly soon. If she does, then it'll have to wait until all the cancer is out of her body.
Second, she had both removed for the safety of it. They knew of cancer for sure in her left breast, but many choose to have both removed at once so if they hear cancer has spread, they don't have to go back in for a second surgery. Plus this way, reconstruction will be more natural looking and similar.

So because I know Emmy is Lurking and she is seeing all of your posts, your messages are getting to her.
She is having a harder day today with more pain involved where the drains were out, so she has been sleeping a lot today. I of course am spamming her with selfies, and will probably wear her out soon.
But because it's a beautiful day, and Emmy has been watching.
Beautiful flowers, for beautiful Emmy..
