Killing Jobs Softly

That could be, but unwise in my opinion unless you want to be a boot camp for your competitor. There's nothing like putting a lot of bucks into a training program only to have you left un-absorbed and your competition picking him up for wages only. :D

If you paid the people enough and treated them like human beings, they wouldn't walk out on you.

If you had your way, everybody would work for fuckall and never be able to buy anything, thus putting you out of bussiness, but hey, as long as its in your pocket and not some low life that works for you, you're happy

Chilly, I am so sorry for you that you have never reached that state of efficiency where an employer would pay you top wage to stay. I feel your frustration and that frustration is just the stuff that every mass movement needs in order to have True Believers will to fight against the enemy, in this case Capitalism.

I think you might really enjoy one of those economic systems where employers pretend to pay employees who pretend to work.

;) ;) :tic:

That killed my dad

I was [---this---] close to being a statistic...

If my wife were not a nurse, I probably would be.

What really hurts, *sniff* *sniff* is that after over a decade of daily posting, nobody knew I was gone. And here I thought I was THAT important.

:D :D :D

there seemed to be a subtle calm about the place

That's essentially what he said, dummy.

Companies don't need to give raises or hire more workers because technology helps each worker produce more.

Go back to your La Trousers name, you were a slight bit smarter under that one.

I don't know who that is but sure I'll get right on that. Now, dummy, that isn't what he said. He said and I'll quote him "When you raise pay without increasing productivity the bottom line makes machines and offshore production more attractive."

His premise as I pointed out in my awesome james defeating post is that production hasn't increased. I demonstrated very clearly it has. And I also showed that for several years wages have not kept pace with that productivity increase.

The point you're missing -probably because you're a shithead- is that if you are doing more work, working more hours, more jobs, and producing more you should get more pay. And that isn't happening.

You have to remember huge companies like Verizon, GE, and ExxonMobil pay no taxes. Instead of massively hoarding their profits they could give a raise and still make billions.

Now you're on my owned list! Congrats! Any more stupid alt comments or are you gunna pipe down?

They do not pay taxes because that's what the wealthy do under a progressive income tax.

When Government gets so powerful that its purchase price is cost effective, even imperative, to business, then business will purchase government indulgences.
