Wolfsbane? Ha-ha-ha, very funny. :D She doesn't look very interesting to play, both personality, power, and character-wise!

Rogue

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg107/penceton/X-Men/7de9433f-6583-450d-a0fb-59b22468b2b0.jpg

Real Name: Anna Marie
Age: 21
Birthday: 17th September
Birthplace: Caldecott County, Mississippi

Skills
Without her powers Rogue still possesses exceptional agility and fighting skills, though none as a result of any mutant abilities, simply as a result of her upbringing in the hands of Mystique and Destiny.

Gear/Equipment
Rogue does not carry much in the way of equipment, usually relying on her abilities to get her out of situations. She always wears body concealing clothing including gloves to entirely eliminate the possibility of physical skin-skin contact. In addition to this she generally carries some method of communication, either her phone or a provided headset.

Powers/Abilities
Rogue possesses what is known as a fluid genome. When she makes physical contact with a person she can absorb the memories, knowledge, skills, aspects of their personality and physical abilities of the person she is touching. This works for a one to sixty ratio of contact time. For the time in which Rogue possesses those abilities her victim is deprived of them and any other memories or skills she may have stolen.

Though currently Rogue is unable to control her ability it is believed that this inability is psychological in nature, and can be overcome with time.

Though usually the theft of abilities is temporary if Rogue holds on for long enough then it can reduce her victim to a near coma state, almost killing them, but also lending her their powers permanently.

Background
Anna Marie was born in Caldecott, Mississippi, the child of Owen and Priscilla in a hippie community. The disappearance of her mother resulted in her Aunt Carrie caring for her, but grief over the loss of her sister led to a strict and controlling upbringing. She was rebellious, naturally, in reaction to this upbringing, and attempted to run away from home numerous times, although most of her attempts led swiftly to failure, this time is when she gained her nickname of Rogue, and it stuck.

Sometime during her teenage years she grew close to a boy, and unfortunately it was at this time that her powers had begun to surface and when, flirting with Cody, she impulsively kissed him and nearly killed him. Instead Cody was left in a permanent coma and Anna Marie, convinced her powers were a curse, fled, taking Rogue as her name and leaving her home. Not long after, Mystique, at the direction of Destiny, the pre-cognitive, found Rogue and recruited her into an underground group, turning Rogue’s loneliness, envy, bitterness and despair into a furious wrath.

Mystique began coaxing Rogue into taking part in the plans of the group, though they were not yet public but once again, at Destiny’s wishes, Mystique kept Rogue out of the spotlight and unknown to most of the group but her. The group focused on the Avengers, as one the only organised super group in the world they were the most significant opponents to their plans and though thus far Rogue has been kept out of the spotlight it is only a matter of time until Mystique chooses to unleash her on her opponents, her appearance as an innocent young woman only makes her ability all the more dangerous.

Nice Tight, You are approved.

I'll figure out a few Supervillains for Mystique's group. I'm leaning toward The Enchantress, The Executioner, The Melter, The Trapster and The Beetle. I may have the Asgardians come and go from the team as the mood strikes them.

FYI to everyone, Mystique's group is going to be one of the few super groups to fight the Avengers and get away repeatedly, mostly due to Destiny's involvement. I see the Avengers as being similar to the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. It's not necessary to watch the show, as I will be changing things to suite our storyline, but it was quite good.

Here's the basic on Wardance Felix. I tried to make it vague so the framework could be worked into your universe:D. And I have a concept to bring to you in PM for your approval. I want this to be a surprise for the rest until I make the posts;). And no folks, that's not the costume she is going to use.

For the costume.

Name: Joan Proudstar
Callsign: Wardance
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 225 pounds
Age: 19

History
The Proudstar family lived in Camp Verde, Arizona. Neal and Marie had both been born there where they fell in love. They were wedded and had their son John in 1990. Early in her pregnancy Marie became sick as several other women on the reservation had, and this drew the doctor from the government. He did treatments for these women and they seemed to work. The doctor set up shop there in Camp Verde supposedly to help the people of the reservation but that wasn't quite the case. Of the six women the doctor had helped two died in childbirth along with the children they were delivering. Two more of the six died within two weeks. John not only survived but he thrived. The last child of the six died in an automobile accident at two years old. And the doctor watched John as he grew.

Neal had joined the Army to support his family. He served during Operation Desert Storm under the leadership of General Thaddeus Ross, better known as Thunderbolt Ross. He returned from the war tired and jaded. He was, however, very happy to be back with his family. And sure enough the happy family was growing again. In 1994 another troubled pregnancy brought Joan into the world. And again the doctor had been there to help Marie.

The family lived a normal, happy life, even if young John and his sister weren't like the other kids. Never a trip to the doctors for injuries, although there should have been with the reckless way the two went through life. Neither of them got sick either. The Proudstars were so blessed apparently. In the year 2000 Marie was pregnant again.

This time however, for reasons unknown to the family, the doctor was forcibly recalled to Washington. Marie's health went downhill. When the time came to deliver it was a living hell, and Marie did not make it through it although little James did.

The family managed to carry on and get through their loss. In 2008 John joined the Army like his father before him and he thrived. The family has lost track of John somewhere in recent history, after he mentioned a special Ops unit he had a chance to join.

Skills
Raised on the Reservation in the way their forefathers had been Joan learned to hunt, trap, and fight. John was great, but Joan was better. And James is showing the potential to be even better and bigger than either of his siblings. The young men on the Reservation tread lightly when the shadow of Joanie Proudstar passes them by. She is a natural athlete as well as having an uncanny rapport with animals.

Powers
Joan is much stronger than a normal human being. Her skin and muscle density is such that even bullets do not penetrate. Her senses are at an almost animal level. She has lifted a motorcycle in anger and thrown it into the bar that had earned her wrath. Her upper running speed seems to be approximately fifty miles an hour. Mixing her senses with the old school tracking skills of her people she is as good or better than a bloodhound.

"shadowlace": I've noticed, carried over from the YOUNG JUSTICE concept...that your characters seem to be...mm...into the feminine persuasion the wee bit, yes? There's nothing wrong with that of course, but I thought I'd...audibly address the lovely gestures, as they were...;)

Yay Tight*glomps*

I am so gonna stumble into Rogues room for some delicate hands on work ;)

Rogue's not going to be joining the X-men for a little while, but I have another character in the works that would love to return your advances ;)

The Mutant Cold War

File this under information none of your characters have:

Over the last few decades there has been a mutant cold war going on. Up to this point it has been slow going as there was no way to track and find mutants, until Xavier built Cerebro.

---------------

Magneto: Born in Austria in 1933, Magneto turns 80 years old today. As a Jew Magneto was sent to an extermination camp in 1943. He was the only member of his family to survive, not only his immediate family, his extended family, including all cousins. Magneto stayed alive until almost the end of the war because he was a natural polyglot, speaking a half-dozen European languages. When he was finally sentenced to death near the end of the war a German priest named Erik Lensher volunteered to die in his place. Magneto never forgot that and would one day take the name Erik Lensher to honor the man who saved his life.

Magneto's powers surfaced as an adult, after he had married the gypsy Magda, and had his daughter, Anya. Magneto practiced with his powers in private, eventually going public to save the town from a fire. Ironically he could not save his wife and daughter. The crowd was scared of Magneto and chased off their savior. It was then that Magneto shed his past life and took on his first and most common alias, Erik Lensher.

Fearing that he was some kind of monster, Erik began to study genetics. This began in libraries and would eventually lead to him returning to school, earning a series of degrees and becoming a professor renown for his amazing work in a number of fields. On his wikipedia entry Magneto's theory of superhuman mutation is mentioned in passing as his most scoffed at idea, especially since his speculation that a generation of 'homo superior' would soon come into existence and show themselves to the world. The theory was scoffed and mocked until the Fantastic Four came on the scene. Now many people are reading what Magneto wrote on the subject back in the 50's and 60's. Magneto coined the term mutant in his first work, and Homo Superior in his second.

In his younger days, after the death of Magda and Anya; he did seek out Nazis who escaped the Nuremburg trials and killed them. Baron Strucker was one of these Nazis and Magneto left him for dead after taking his stolen Nazi gold. Magneto would have many other adventures throughout his life, but for the last three decades he has been retired from adventuring.

In terms of raw power Magneto is probably the most powerful man on the planet. As a player in the mutant cold war Magneto plays a small role. He turns 80 years old this year and, while still quite wealthy from his hidden cache of Nazi gold, he has little influence in this world.

Charles Xavier studied under Erik Lensher at Oxford.

--------------

Sebastian Shaw: Shaw is the biggest player in the mutant cold war. One of the wealthiest men in the world, if not the wealthiest, Shaw owns majority shares in multiple media ventures including CNN and Disney. He is an industrialist owning major (but not majority) shares of Williams Technology, Stark Enterprises, Stane International, Hammer Industries, and others. Shaw owns real estate across the world and is a shipping magnate. Shaw is slowly building a monopoly of all ocean bound freight shipping. Shaw is the White King of the Hellfire club.

Shaw was born in Hell's Kitchen to two nobodies. He used his mutant power to become a minor prize fighter becoming quite famous in the 70's. He won the world title at 18 and then quit, taking his prize money and investing it in shipping businesses. Shaw was ruthless and unscrupulous, using his power to sabotage rivals, swimming up to their ships in port and punching a hole in their hull with his hand.

Shaw is in the game for himself. He is not out to save mutantkind.

Shaw is in his mid- to late-forties and is a very attractive man. He has hired a female telepath from the Frost Academy as his assistant.

----------------

Emma Frost: The White Queen of the Hellfire club, Emma Frost is the world's most powerful telepath. She built her fortune on Wall Street by reading the minds on 'the floor,' and buying and selling appropriately. She does not own a majority in any major business, preferring to make her money through leveraged assets, residuals and sale of stock.

Frost used her fortune to found the Frost Academy, which over the last 15 years has become the most prestigious high school in the country. Graduates from Frost have connections around the world in the highest eccelons of society. She has a history of using her mental powers to influence parents during interviews to send their children to her school.

Frost has been the most successful of all in gathering other mutants. While she does not have cerebro, she hires private eyes to investigate weird happenings and when something pans out she schedules a brief visit to the area to read the suspects mind. Over the years she has found seven or eight young mutants this way.

As the White Queen of the Hellfire club she has aligned herself with Sebastian Shaw. While considerably more scrupulous than Shaw, she plans to rule the world one day at his side.

Emma Frost is in her late thirties and is an incredibly attractive woman. While she dresses conservatively in public, in private she is famous for her sexual appetite.

-------------------

Mr. Sinister: Whoever he is, Sinister has lived his life in shadows. He is a whisper, known only to a few and never seen. Mr. Sinister uses the internet and phone calls to contact his agents and offers them a reward. If they are interested in the reward he offers them the mission.

Mr. Sinister's goals are known only to him, but if someone were to compare missions they would see he is very interested in genetic manipulation and super technology.

-------------------

S.H.I.E.L.D.: SHIELD is a secret division of the United States government that began with the Super Soldier Program back in WWII. SHIELD defends America, and her allies, from super threats across the globe. SHIELD has authority to use CIA, FBI and other government operatives. SHIELD brought the Avengers together to fight off the Chitauri threat in NY City.

SHIELD is one of the biggest players in the mutant cold war. Over the decades the directors have taken Magneto's superhuman mutation theory quite seriously and have dealt with a majority of the super human problems that have cropped up since WWII, keeping them out of the public's eye.

SHIELD's governing committee is made up of government and civilian members of great power. Sebastian Shaw and Emma Frost are both on the governing committee. So is Doug Ramsey's father.

--------------------

Apocalypse: Never heard of him, who's that?

En Sabah Nur is asleep. Hope he stays that way.

----------------------

That's it for now. More to come as the muse strikes me.

I have background info for Mystique too, I just want to write it up and run it by Tight first, so we can work out Rogue's "Mom"

----------

FYI, Weapon X was a program created by Canada as a reply to America's Super Soldier Serum in WWII. It was declared a failure shortly after it's inception and closed down before 1950. It has not been reopened.

After the Fantastic Four, Department H was formed by the Canadian government to find or build their own super humans. James Hudson is building his Vindicator flight suit for them.

Wyld, Wardance is approved. If I'm reading this right she is the second of three Proudstar children, between John and James.

Yeppers. I figure if someone else wants to down the road James could be an option if they can figure out how to age him five years:D.

Hmmm, I may have John face off against he X-Men at some point, FYI.

I mean John Proudstar, the eldest. He is in the Army after all, and he was talking about joining a spec ops group...

The mutant cold war is about to get very, very hot, and SHIELD is a major player. SHIELD is part of the US gov'ment... When Rogue joins the team you will have a known super criminal on your team. I think there may be some confrontations likely. I'm not saying John will be there every time, but Joan will eventually face her brother on the field of battle.

Yes, you can control him.

-----------------------

Now if you'll excuse me, since today is Cinco de Mayo in July, I'm going to go get some tacos from Taco Bell. (Would it have been funnier if I had called it Cinco de Julio?)

When I get back I'll answer any questions you might have sent me. If no one sends me questions I'm going to start writing up Mystique's background. She's been a busy little bee.

------------------

Lach, let me know what you decide for how you want Gambit to start, but you are approved either way.

Yes I'm a lady who prefers ladies. Jubilee will be a dick only character, but Siryn will play both fields like me, ladies first gents second.

Yeah. YOU *tell* HIM.

DOOOEEEEEEEEEEEETTT.

Mmm. Hmm.

*zoinkkk?*

////////////////////////////////////////////

"Felix80": I have company from out of state coming over any moment now for the afternoon/night....so I'll have to give everything pertaining to Gambit some thought.....after all of that.

Been too busy, encouraging Miss "tight_n_ready".....and apparently working myself unto a corner with "shadowlace" -- this not even in ROLEPLAY format yet????

*ga-asp* THE HORROR!!!!

I'll....come back to this in awhile. *smirk*

Real Name: Wanda Maximoff
Age: 22
Birthday: 28th June
Birthplace: Wundagore Mountain

Skills
Some self-defence skills, and while it is certainly not her forte, she can hold her own against most opponents.

Gear/Equipment
Wanda doesn’t carry much in the way of equipment, she doesn’t need to.

Powers/Abilities

Wanda possesses the ability to use hex's, they are fairly short ranged, and can only effect things within her line of sight. Though at times these hex’s can occur subconsciously she is gradually mastering the use of her abilities and can now use them at will. The nature of these hex’s is their effect upon probability, for good or ill. Though when used subconsciously they will be limited only to negative effects when used consciously they can have positive effects as well, from lighting flammable materials to creating forcefields, her studies at Xavier's school are what allows her to develop these more controllable aspects of her abilities.

However, they are directly affected by her physical state as well, if she is tired or struggling to concentrate then the effects of her hex's are rarely favourable, and can even undo the effects of previous used hex's.

Background
Wanda was born at the base of Mount Wundagore, one of twins of a woman named Sasha, their father unknown. Sasha, terrified that their father would find her, walked into the wilderness to die and shortly afterwards the apparently orphaned twins were entrusted to the care of Django and Marya Maximoff, a gypsy couple who cared for them as their own. Though originally it was planned for an American couple to care for them, Madeline’s death in childbirth and Robert’s subsequent insanity led to the Maximoff’s adopting the children, though Pietro and Wanda believe the Frank’s are their natural parents. It was in their teens that they discovered their abilities.

Django began to steal food to feed his starving family, and the locals, enraged attacked the camp, Pietro rushing his sister to safety at inhuman speeds. Though the two lived in relative peace wandering Europe for some years, it was only a matter of time before Wanda accidentally used her powers and set fire to a house. Believing her a witch, a mob swiftly formed and Pietro was unable to protect his sister, they were shortly to become victims of a lynch mob. Some impossible coincidence saved them however and Professor Charles Xavier, perhaps having detected them with Cerebro arrived in the nick of time to save their lives, using his abilities to suppress the mob while Wanda and Pietro made good their escape. Uninterested in Xavier’s hopes for mutants and humanity, Quicksilver did not go with them, though he and his sister parted on good terms. She has since spent the last few years with Xavier at his newly founded school and though she is among the older of the ‘students’ there she has made friends, though her ravenous sexual appetite has also made her several enemies and something of a reputation.
