Not that I agree, mind you. She's right, it's low and playing dirty. But it's no one's responsibility to protect them from themselves. As someone else said, she didn't pick herself. If they want to shoot themselves in the foot, fine.

I can't say much about Palin without risking saying too much, but agree that she's been unfairly attacked for a number of her statements.

It's rather unflattering to the Dems when they profess to worship the common folk, the people, etc., and then when this raw, small-town mayor-turned-freshman governor comes into the fold, they can't wait to shove her down and dismiss her as too common.

Palin is no "retard" for basically stating that this is a time to celebrate Obama and such a historical moment - sup with all the focus on her STILL. Which is true, unless of course some can't get enough of her and are worried that she will spend the next four years boning up on stuff to put someone like Couric in her place (didn't Couric once draw attention to herself by allowing her surgery to be aired live or some shit? such a maverick she was back then).

Why would she have needed Oprah? Her "people" in her party pegged her for being THE ONE pretty soundly by themselves. There was a time not too long ago that she was all that was coming off of the Republican open mouth drool. Who else could've sold all those Read My Lipstick t-shirts and titty tops, eh?
