There are now more than 500 postings to this thread. Other that the three or four people involved, no one can--or wants to-- become familiar with all of the incidents, their alleged reasons and justifications. This much seems clear:

1.Recidiva called or suggested that Loving Tongue is a "nigger" in some literal or metaphoric sense*. Recidiva refuses to apologize. That is a measure of her stature.

2. Loving Tongue, being offended, has pressed her and others for apologies and rationales as to why they think such suggestions and implications--slurs-- are fair and proper. Neither Recidiva nor Ulaven nor any of the supporters are going to offer any apologies, and LT's pressing them in dozens of postings is a measure of his obsession with this matter.

3. Various parties, including Recidiva and Loving Tongue, allege numerous provocations from the other side. All of these have the effect of claiming, "I'm nasty to her/him because s/he did something nasty to me first." Recidiva, in particular, apparently claims that LT's conduct in some way offended/provoked her, and hence she was justified, by way of retaliation, in suggesting or implying the label 'nigger.'

4. No one other than the parties, at this point, can possibly untangle this web of 's/he did it first' claims, nor has any interest in the matter of whose provocation was first, and whether, indeed LT's alleged provocations merit his being assigned that label--perhaps as a metaphor-- by Recidiva.

5. All parties apparently want to continue indefinitely in their obsessions, apparently hoping to prevail, and apparently thinking that others have some interest in their ongoing conflict (else why do it publically). I do not see any sign of such interest.

6. LT, in his search for a remedy or to embarrass his opponents is not going to succeed. He suffered an injustice which may or may not have been provoked, but which the alleged offenders refuse, over months, to remedy. That is the nature of the GB.

Those who prevail are never better or right, they're just willing to stay at the keyboard for months and keep posting whatever nasties they wish, forever. Wiser folks desist from such eternal battles, figuring that the public, if indeed it had an interest at one time, has long since made up its mind as to rights and wrongs, or simply is entirely fed up with the unending process.
