It is. I mostly use the selftimer so I can get away from the phone and avoid that selfie-itis look you get when held at arm's length. Plus my ass and legs are considerably more attractive features than my ugly mug 😁

Occasionally my wife takes them (like the kitchen pic).

I do something similar. I usually record video and then select snapshots from it. That gives me a large selection of shots. I sometimes use a webcam on extension or, sometimes, a phone mounted on a tripod.
I'm not ugly but my face is lived-in so, like you, I consider my bum and legs more photogenic, as well as being my most erogenous zone.
