We Are Having A National Emergency!

Friday, February 15th, the National Emergency began.


Trump said he was declaring an emergency because of a national security crisis on the border, “an invasion” as he put it.

In declaring a national emergency to fund his border wall, the president reminded Republican lawmakers that he feels free to trample on them whenever it suits him.


Trump’s unhappiness played out late in the week in ways that again told Republican lawmakers that loyalty is a one-way street with him. He agreed to sign the new funding agreement, but it came at the cost of forcing Republican officials to bend to his will on the declaration of a national emergency.



For those in the party he controls, especially those in Congress, the week was another reminder that, when it comes to Trump, it’s all about him and rarely about them.

The National Emergency is so serious, and so dire, tRump took the government jet and the Secret Service for a trip to his private property. He is on a break, and playing golf, and eating.

He (David Lynch) is undecided about Donald Trump.

“He could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history because he has disrupted the thing so much. David Lynch responds to Trump: ‘You are causing suffering and division’


“Unfortunately, if you continue as you have been, you will not have a chance to go down in history as a great president. This would be very sad it seems for you – and for the country. You are causing suffering and division.”

Lynch finally made a plea for Trump to rethink his agenda.

“It’s not too late to turn the ship around,” he writes. “Point our ship toward a bright future for all. You can unite the country. Your soul will sing. Under great loving leadership, no one loses – everybody wins. It’s something I hope you think about and take to heart. All you need to do is treat all the people as you would like to be treated.”

If the only thing (aside from 3 or 4 great SCOTUS justices and a couple hundred Federal Judges) we get from President Trump's 8 years is a good, solid spanking for the collective "leadership" of this country (Congress, directors of the various agencies, etc), then it was all worth it.

The orange-faced entity that sits in the Oval Office chair, has the title of POTUS. He abuses the stolen presidential seal, just as he abused a stolen heraldic Coat of Arms.


Today, the Washington Post allowed a editorial cartoon to be published. It is not very flattering. The frame of the cartoon is the Presidential Seal. The American Eagle has been replaced with Trump, himself. In all his naked glory. Full frontal view.Only his famous long red neck tie saves his modesty. Trump's tiny, undersized hands hold a bulging bag of cash, and the broken scales of justice. A weighing cup has been torn away, and it lies beneath his foot. The cartoonist takes note of Trump's attempt at imitating Napoleon. Trump has crowned himself King, (gold crown, of course, and the theft of royal purple.) and he wears an ermine collar on his royal robe. Trump's head is not turned to stare at the Olive Branch, but glares at the broken scales. There are no arrows present, to defend America. There are six golf clubs under Trump's spread legs, to either side of his trailing tie. The stars have been replaced and dollar signs encircle Trump. Trump does not carry scroll with the motto "E Pluribus Unum"(out of many states, one country.) in his mouth. "Me, Me, Me" is written on the scroll floating above his head.
