Zombie Apocalypse romance

I remember reading part of it years ago. About a boy who survives a virus that kills most people. At first there are not infected, just everyone is dead. He eventually runs into a girl and they start traveling from place to place. Eventually they do find out there are infected, this form from the REC type where it is demon infection.

There were a lot of chapters, enough I imagine the author probably pulled the series to sell it. Anyone know the author's name? Thanks
