I'm glad it isn't mainstream anymore (thank you Trent). WTF though? Even Static X, who had real promise on revivng Industrial after the NIN era, went to the hardcore scene after Machine was released.

Industrial has to evolve just like any other form of music. Rammstien is the forefront of industrial and international to boot.

Fear Factory was a combination of speed metal, industrial and goth. All infulences are visibel on Demanufacture.

Static X pushed a form of industrial called "Death Disco" on their first CD called Wisconsin Death Trip (The book it's named after is creepy). Oddly enough the beat for "Push It" is interchangable with the the disco hit "Stayin Alive"

Why? Rammstein is good, and German is a good language for rock, indutrial in particular. In English, they may have goth overtones, but you can still hear the machine.

I'm trying to get a good playlist going for my goth/industrial friends. I love DJing and mixing and am in total love with drum and bass. Trent did it justice with The Perfect Drug.

Everything I have is on MP3, then I transfer to CD so I can mix on my decks. (Pioneer CDJ800 MK2s). usually, I make a mix of 3 to 4 cds, so I can fade from one song to the next and transfer to another without breaking a rythm. A pain in the ass, but I love being a pupetter...

Totally fucking evil. Industrial should find its way into more war movies. I can totally see it as being the soundtrack to combat no matter what culture you are in. America has a heads up in this. Nothing sounds more industrial then when you are looking though the sights of an M1A1 120mm.

Yes, I belive that. I grew up on Ramstein AFB and saw alot of things the public back home didn't see, Esp at Landstul during the first Gulf War. Those old T-88s couldnt crack the armor of the abrams, but the concussion could bust ears, eyes and innards...

I stood in front of the speaker stack at a Rammstein concert before their set started and I could feel the vibrations enter my front and exit my back as they wound up their bass intro.
