How long will Joe serve?

Donny may still have a trick or two up his sleeve, we'll know by January 6th. Or maybe the 20th.

There is legitimate concern as to whether Joe will be alive another eight years.

What!??
Martial Law??

≤ 4 years.

He'll serve one term, then be voted out, or, due to health reasons, fail to serve the full 4 years.

He was a bad choice, but that's the compromise when your best chance of beating a white male is another white male.

for some reason, even if he doesn't think so himself, i see him serving 8 years. of course, i could be halucinating!

He's the perfect choice -- on paper, so to say.

First, I think he wasn't chosen as an exciting leader, but as a cardboard cutout stand in for the Generic Democrat, and that's why he could not, should not even, actively campaign -- to not disturb his intentionally boring nondescript generic Democrat image. This strategy relied heavily on negative enthusiasm and while it generally worked, perhaps it's part of why there was no coattails on lower levels. Could it have gone better for a colorful candidate with real enthusiasm? Yes, in theory, but who was that candidate? Bernie? Warren? Yang? The risk was perceived as higher with each of them, anyone else, actually. Biden was least risk candidate, and just enough to win anyway.

Second, if we look at it, who's really more experienced to jump in the chaos left by trump, who's better positioned to exploit and expand possible schisms in Republican circles, work backroom politics within gridlock that's almost guaranteed.

Third, internationally his message is return and rebuild, rehabilitation of the destroyed reputation. For those who considered USA a friend the last four years was something alike watching a friend having heavy case of alcoholism if not hard drugs or something such. I personally would more enjoyed Warren in that role, perhaps, but maybe it's indeed better the old guy everyone knows already.

Will he actually deliver? I'm not all so concerned about him to be as old and frail as opposition like to portray him. There was strategic, tactical, circumstantial and so on, a lot of reasons it was right thing to do, or rather not, what he did or didn't. And, he is, or is expected to be a team player, and thus his own personal performance, while still important isn't so critical. Unless he would indeed die or collapse totally he will be held as the nominal face even if be actually little more eventually. And know what, it's lot more unconcerning that way. Boring is good, it's normalcy.

But I also think there's only limited circumstances Biden might feel compelled to run again for the second term. It shouldn't be necessary, but it can't be predicted now. One, if trump indeed runs again, and looks like having a chance, or if there's big consolidation behind trump's hand-picked heir, it could once again turn out to seem the safest option. Kamala, I'm actually sceptical, I would be willing to bet she will get primaried -- and from the left -- even if she gets the switch to the top, but let's wait and see, it's not an easy game for her, but not impossible either. Kamala Harris vs Nikki Haley, now that could be fun.

Now it's being admitted?
Everyone voted for dead man walking?
Was getting rid of Trump worth getting Kamala?

She could do irreparable harm to the CENTRIST Democrat brand.

7 years. Biden wins re-election because the GOP nominates a mini Trump, meaning all of the incompetence but none of the fun factor. Biden croaks in office. Kamala is sworn in, runs for the top spot, but loses the primary to a so far not very well known white guy.

And eventually, a not very Trumpy but quite conservative Republican woman wins in 2028.

If this board still exists then and we all haven't been wiped out by a zombie apocalypse or something, I expect to be worshipped like a prophet.

Really the question used wasn't who the Republicans will run to be defeated,
but just how sick is the guy and how hard did the MSM and the elites work to hide or dismiss his ill health. After all, they used to bleat about how unhealthy Trump was as if he has one foot in the grave and the other on a fast-food wrapper. He still looks healthier than Biden. He survived Corona. I'm pretty sure Joe couldn't. Is he going to run the country from the White House basement, an aging recluse and how would we even know if he died in office? Hollywood could be called in to fake it...

The only thing i know for sure is that trump will never be President again.
