Zar's Quest

Amused that this has merged now into a twenty-two part series and rapidly approaching a conclusion (which I haven't figured out yet, but all the pieces are in place for whatever it will be) that maybe no one has read the whole of and maybe no one but me ever will...

Plus, I lost the original of the map attached above :-(

I love writing epic fantasy.

Also, do I have to include sex in the story? Or are we all bored of sex now?

I can relate to this so easily. I am over 200k words deep into my fantasy series and yeah, the feeling is great. Good job reaching the end, although I don't think I will be near the end anytime soon. I believe the series will reach 500k words easily...
A question, though. Is there a better way of publishing the map for your fantasy world than posting it on the forum where not many readers will see it? Is posting an illustrated story containing the map the only way to do this?

Btw, there is nothing wrong with sex in fantasy stories, in my opinion. I do think it shouldn't be the focus of long series such as yours, but to add spice and to deepen the relationships? (and give some stroke moments to readers :p ) Definitely.

You could consider placing the map as the cover for the series, although it doesn't look like it would fit comfortably in a portrait-layout.

Oh, or maybe a better idea. You can upload art independently from the dashboard, and you should be able to add a link to it whenever the picture gets posted to your works page. You could include the link as part of the preface of every chapter.
I have never tried this, but I think it would be possible. If you attempt it, please tell us if it works as intended.

I don't think you can add links inside your stories. Otherwise, all of this would be easy, I guess.

Not a fantasy series without a map.

I now realise I need to do a map for my fantasy series.

I believe the links are allowed as long as they only connect to another page hosted by Literotica. Let me do some investigation.

Yerse.
Here's a link to a story by @Djmac1031. It includes a link to another of his entries near the end.
So, at least in theory, if you post a map as 'erotic art' you can later link to it from your stories.
So, @AlinaX, maybe scribble some titties or a dick (;)) in the NE quadrant and let 'er rip.

Well done on making a map!

What did you use for it?
I used to use Adobe Illustrator long ago for all my amateur artwork, but these days I use the Affinity suite (for work stuff as well as my few covers here).

My computer crashed badly last year and that was lost. I'm tempted to buy some vector graphics from Etsy and redo it completely.

Cool map 😊.

It's a bit crap, lol, but it was more for myself to figure out the world. From past experience, getting someone with actual skill to make a real map is definitely worth it in the end.

Well it’s better than I could do 😊.

ahh cool, I really needed to make a map for my Smoking Paradise Islands series. But every time I did it in paint...it looked like I had done it in paint!

I can't believe the epiphany I've just had about a map-making tool. This is what I've done in like 3 minutes only, but it is enough to get an idea. Bonus points for all who figure out what I used ;)

On the sex, I’d think you would have readers more into plot and characters after as many parts as you describe. But do include sex if you can see good parts for it and keep it hot. That’s my advice. In a pinch, sex magic from wizards and celebrations between heroes and rescued characters can cover a lot.

I think my personal headstate at the moment is not very sexy, and my characters are keeping their private lives to themselves.

Returning to this thread to let you know I read Zar's Quest and really enjoyed it!
I'm just finalising the last instalment of my S&S series The Rivals.
