Has anyone used a program called yWriter? A friend of mine sent me the link and I dl'd but haven't really tried it. I looked at it and will find a tutorial. It's a program that's supposed to help with writing fiction -- there are places to note characters, scenes, etc. So I was curious.

Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out: http://downloads.pcauthority.com.au/article/20723-ywriter

I use it for long works or where I might have a POV shifting around. It's actually an excellent tool. The defining of a character can make them come to life, plus you always have a reference to them. You can also do an initial outline then started to punch it up. It also lets you just type without interrupting your train of thought like word letting you know all you typos and grammatical flubs.

I have used it to write several of my novels and novellas.

Thanks, Zeb. I think I'm going to try it with one or two stories I've just started but haven't gotten too far in. I can see where it'd be helpful to have things to remind you character descriptions, sequences of events, etc. Just thought I'd see if it was worth the while. Thanks!

There is one thing that makes it worth while...it's free. Plus you get all that stuff you mentioned. ;) :D
